A brand new start

do you have time to exercise in the morning b4 the kids wake up? That was how I used to do it. But now Allyson does my exercising with me. If you can, try getting up 30 min early, do a exercise tape or something. ;) It will even make your day seem to go by easier, cause you will feel stronger!

Water? What's that? You must mean the stuff that they put in Diet Pepsi! LOL
I've been so bad! I just can't seem to get myself motivated and it really is killing me. The last few months I was so stressed that I just focused on getting through the move and then I thought I would have time and energy to focus on myself. Well, here I am on the other side of the move and the motivation fairies haven't shown up! I went for a walk yesterday and I have had some water, but I know I'm not where I need to be to make the weight come off. I'm sure I can maintain at this level, but I want to do so much more!!!

Christina,
I'd have to go to bed on time in order to get up early enough to manage a work out before the children were up! ;)

To tell you the truth mate I think you need to take a week off from everything. Then unpack everything that you haven’t yet and put everything were you would like it to be and then get back on the weight loss track. Give yourself the full 2 weeks to catch up and rest, I think you will feel a lot better for it. Have a wonderful week.

Rosered,
I think you are right! I've taken the last few days to really put the last bits away. I've let myself "off the hook" a bit as far as diet and exercise. I'm striving for good habits, but not killing myself for poor choices.
A bit more time...

Exercised today. It was Sam's second birthday, so the food choices were, celebratory...

Heehee, not to many celebratory carrot sticks hanging around, huh? Well, you exercised, so you got your metabolism going. That's good. :)

Hey scrappy how are you feeling? I hope everything is starting to fall into place for you. How do you like your new place and neighbors?

Hey, Ladies!

Well, things are looking up! I was bored last night (no cable tv and you get pretty much get NOTHING without cable, didn't feel like chitchatting on the phone, and had just finished a chunck of a book...) and talked myself into doing the walking dvd. While I was exercising I took the chance to really evaluate things. I do want to get back on the wagon! I've held my weight since May. It is time to get a bit more dedicated about losing it! I know I have to go slow, however. Just getting the exercise in will help me feel like I am working toward the goal.

Rosered, I love my new house and we have very sweet neighbors. The people we meet are always friendly and it seems that here in SC people go out of their way to help others.

I met (I opened the window during carline and asked her if she knew of any playgroups- boredom will almost make you desparate!) a woman that I am going to a scrapbook crop with tomorrow and next Friday I am going to a Bunco game with ladies from our church. So I am getting out and meeting people.

I'm off to the grocery store to buy some nutritious food!

Hey, glad to hear you're meeting people! I need to learn how to do that. I'm also glad to hear you're getting your motivation back. Nothing will feel as good as meeting that goal, and you don't even have that much more to go. You're awesome, keep it up!

Hey, Ladies... just a check-in! Been focusing on moving... went to a little zoo place and sweated my butt off yesterday. (We're on this safari bus ride feeding the wild animals when this little 4 year old girl points at my two year old and says, "He's cute. Where'd you get him?" LOL) Today was a day off. I've got to focus on WATER! Who would've thought drinking water would be soso hard!
I'm also going to focus on checking in here more regularly. My best losses were weeks that I really made myself update the diary at least every day. This will be good, too because I really need to catch up with the other diaries!
Thanks for checking in on me Fuunky. I'm glad you are doing better.

Ha!! :D She probably thought there was a Little Boy pen somewhere on the safari??

Hey, guys! Thanks for checking in on me! It really makes me smile to see messages from you. :)
Things are getting better here. We've kinda got a little pattern going. I'm meeting people and getting out. Substitute teaching fell through and I'm thinking of other ways to bring in a little money. I've thought about offering hourly childcare. Kind of targeting the SAHMs who need to do something and have no one to watch their little ones.
I'm just sick over this whole hurricane thing. We went through three of them last summer (Funnky, were you in Orlando then?), but nothing compares to the stew that New Orleans is in. I just keep praying for them and I know that God is watching over them.
Dieting. Taking care of myself. Well, I am making better efforts to get some exercise and water!
Today's food
cracklin' oat bran and 1% milk
water
ham on wheat
purple grapes
chex mix
diet pepsi

Keep checkin' on me, ladies! I'm needing support!

oooh, I did the babysitting thing last year. Was not what I thought it would be, the kids were ok but it's the parents you have to look out for. And they always want to rip you off. Make sure you get contracts, and if you are not licenced, let them know ahead of time if you do not want them to claim you on your taxes, which you will have to pay at the end of the year.....

Glad to hear from you! I'm also glad your taking care of yourself. It takes time to change the way you think and eat for life.

I'm also very saddened over whats happening. I find it hard to sleep at night just thinking how lucky I am to be in a warm dry bed. The little things we all take for granted.

Keep up the good work girl, I'm very proud of you!

Sounds like your doing ok scrappy... Yeah this is just one more disaster ...it seems like they are coming in droves these days! I barely can watch the news anymore w/out crying...its just devestating & you almost feel guilty to be dry and safe..but thankful also!
