A brand new start

Fuunky,
When I lived in the Orlando area I rarely went to WalMart and when I did it was always sooooo crowded and messy that I would vow never to go back and I became a Target Girl. Unfortunately there is not a Target in town, but a freind did tell me she is going to Target on Friday and I might go with her.
Newbride,
You'll have to double your habit, because I know that when we lived in Ft. Wayne and had two or three Walmart stores they did carry some different stuff.
Thanks for checking in on me NewLeaf!

Today has been going well so far. I did manage to get a 45 minute walk in at the mall and my eating for today has been okay.

Ok. So. I know all about the endorphins (or that "rush") that come out after
you exercise, but am I the only one that doesn't really enjoy that? I was walking with a friend yesterday and when the walk was over I had to sit down on her couch a bit so that I could get the room to stop spinning and then be good enough to drive home! When I walk the mall we almost always wind up at the play area letting the kids burn off some energy, but I"m always a bit dizzy. I'm not dizzy while I"m walking, just after. Is it just me?

Scrappy, you are doing such a good job!!! :D When you walk, do you drink water?? If not, you should - just a little. I used to get dizzy when I was done working out and doc said my body couldn't take all that work without fluids during. I dont' get dizzy anymore, but i sure have to pee! LOL Keep up the good work! :D

oh oh scrappy...that sounds suspiciously like LOW blood pressure. Or perhaps not enough calories? Can you go to a supermarket where you are that has a free monitor for your bp?

You shouldnt have to feel that way. I do sometimes, but its my wacky meds doing it, so I know why. You oughta find out why too, ok? please?

Thanks for all the feedback, ladies! I never really gave it much thought. I just thought that I didn't deal well with the "rush" that everyone else talks about. (I don't like being "tipsy" either.) I don't drink much water while walking (I'm pushing about 100 pounds of stroller...) and I'm going to make a bigger effort to drink lots of water while walking (noting that I will have to pee right afterwards!). The last time I had my blood pressure taken was about 4 months ago and it was normal. (I've never had a blood pressure problem before...). I will put a call into the doc and maybe a trip to the bp monitor at WalMart if drinking more water during my walk doesn't help!
Thanks, again!

MissJellyBelly,
The downside of reduced shopping choices, is that reduced choices. I still shop too much ( I don't buy that much), but let's just say I have a serious WalMart habit. I miss having a few more choices... I'm pretty sick of WallyWorld.
BTW, you can eat cake everyday... weight watchers makes great snack cakes. Think Little Debbie (she got me through college) only skinnier. The 80 calorie Debbie. (That sounds like anorexic porn!) Hmph.

I love WalMart too. haha They always have such good deals and the coolest gagets and house stuff. I don't blame you for being sick of it. Does your wallyworld have a Mc Donalds in it? There is no walmart here where I live now. So I don't get the deals. There isn't even a Target. Everything is expensive, so I don't shop much lately.

Thanks for the little debbie tip. Anorexic porn! haha I Love it! I'm afraid I'd OD on those little debbies. I have a hard time limiting myself to just one instead of a threesome, haha, but perhaps I'll give it a try. Sounds yummy.

Just ready the dizzy part,...is there any chance you could be pregnant?
I agree more fluids and try something to keep the blood sugar constant,..apple or an orange once you are done.

Hi Scrappy.... Are you MIA??? Hope all is well where you are. :) Hopefully we'll see you soon :)

Hey, I'm not MIA! LOL. I was here yesterday and posted, but I must not have hit send, because it isn't here!
Basically I just thanked everyone for their input and I tried to drink more water while exercising. So far (I've gone walking twice since my really dizzy episode) so good. You guys are a great gang!

Hey Scrappy, hope you are feeling even better! Just another idea, but if you've have had any ear infections or currently have one, that can effect your balance and cause dizziness also. So maybe that played a part in it. :) Hope you are feeling better soon!

Glad to hear you havn't had any more dizzy episodes and well done getting in the walking :)
