A bit of help please =)

Hey im guessing you have never had a uhhh situation? like mine before

Im 17' 6'3 and i weigh about 13 stone, i dont consider myself fat although there is a bit to grab if you get my meaning

ive met a girl and when she gets back from holiday we are going on a date and i kinda wonna lose most or all of my fat before then

so i want some ideas how to lose the extra fat or turn it into muscle before the date without using tablets, potions and machines (including thumbles) i'd rather just stick to push ups n stuff but is there a routine someone could give me which could work, the date which im aiming for is about is 10th Septermber so please can someone help me

Cheers

Its times like these that make you realize that it is important to stay in good shape thru your whole life.

you can loose some fat, but its not gonna be much if you wanna stay healthy.

Im gonna give you some advice that you prob already know but you just shrug it off. Well its time to pay attention and sort yourself out.

Ready...

1. exercise
2. eat healthy.

Thats all you need to know to stay in shape.

just buy a bigger shirt and start your training and diet right away.

thanks for the reply

but in year 11 (2 academic years ago nearly) i was in the high school football team

i know about exercise and that but i want to know specificly certain exercises to work certain muscles

firstly the stomach (surely sit ups isn't it all)
chest
bum

thanks for any extra replies

Eating healthy.... yeah good point but pizza meal deals are the you know what ;)

-well, for your stomach your going to want to diet and excercise for them to show.
-for bum, you can cover cardio and lower body work out with biking.
-for chest, try using dumbells for bench, also flys and push ups will tighten up your chest

i do not know much about this kinda excercise but from what i here HIIT training is a great way to lose weight. i belive this forum has a section for it under fitness near the bottom if you would like to gather a little bit more knowledge.

if your going to bike try looking on ebay for a cheap but reliable bike like trek, gary fisher, or specialized's lowered end products.

running is also a great way to lose weight(as you prob. know from football).
if you get bored running on the road, try trails in parks or somthing. you can also swim

as for dieting, try making simple changes like, use white wheat bread or whole wheat bread when making sandwiches. lay off fast food.If you live near a subway or somin ride your bike there instead of driving. enbetween lunch and dinner eat a small bowl of fruits instead of munching on junk food. eat breakfast if you dont do it now, and stay away from fad diets

ok as for HIIT i dunno what that means

yeah i love running but theres nowhere to run here =/ and i feel kinda stupid running up the road on my own lol >.< not that theres anything wrong with it

how old must you be to use a UK gym?

and why eat breakfast?

thanks

HIIT = high intensity interval training (there's a lot of info on it - check the forum)

Breakfast = very important. Never skip meals (at any time of day), eating several small meals throughout the day keeps your metabolism functioning better.

Is there an age restriction in the UK on gyms? In America, it's a policy issue. My gym requires that anyone under 16 be accompanied by an adult at all times.

How much is 13 stone, and what the heck is a thumble?

Look. its all or nothing.
if you train 1 muscle and not its antagonist (the muscle oposite, i.e. the biceps antagonists are the triceps.) you will get bone disorders and mess urself up. Also if you work ur chest and not your back, your chest will get big, but it will pull your shoulders forward and hide ur chest.

you eat breakfast cos it gets ur digestive system going, eatting in the morning acctually helps ur burn the cals u eat during the day. plus if you have been weight training you need Brekky to heal your muscles.

Oh, ok.
So, is that like a British expression?
You still didn't tell me what the heck a thumble is. I've never heard that word in my life.

lol ok thumbles (what i was told by my teacher) are weights which you put on your wrists and ankles

and yeah stones is the common weighing measurement

Ya bunch of wierdos. :p
(jk)

Why can't you just use pounds like normal people?

Deschain, good rule of thumb....I was told the following
14 lbs = 1 stone
2.4 lbs = 1 kg

depends on the following...
what time you get up
how much sleep you have had
how much sleep you are going to have
what your weight goals are
what type of training you have done.
what you have ate that day

so its difrent for every person.
basicly
if your trying to gain muscle then you wanna eat your last meal (meal6) right before bed. Should be a small amount of slow burning carbs and lots of protien and veg.

if your trying to loose fat then your last meal should also be before bed but should consist of mostly veg and a small portion of protien with no carbs.

Proper rest has a lot to do with your body functioning properly (including fat loss/muslce gain, etc).
