90 minutes cardio each day enough?

hey i have recently doing 3 walks everyday of 30 minutes each - so i do a total of 90minutes walking each day, is this effective/enough cardio for weightloss.

my walking pace is very fast and in some of the walks i do some running as well. every couples of days i also add some weight training but i'm unsure as to whether i'm doing enough exercise to stimulate weight loss.

my diet is healthy.

silverpen, thanks :) !!

We need a little more information i.e-weight, height, diet and goals for a more informative answer.

You say you do weights ...whats your workout consist of?

90 minutes of walking / running is enough to lose weight if you burn more calories than you eat. Determine your basal metabolic rate, add the number of calories you burn exercising and subtract the number of calories you eat. If this number is positive = you lose weight. If negative = you gain weight. Simple.

sorry! and thanks

im about 69kg and 163ish cm tall my goal is not really a weight in particular ..im basing it on clothin fit and size id like to drop about 1-2 dress sizes from an aussie 12/14 to aussie 8/10

my diet is brekky like weetbix or something which is healthy, lunch a wholegrain salad sandwhich, dinner chicken dishes or something..and snaks during the day is spread out with usually about 2-4 pieces of fruit and sometimes a weight watchers muesli bar

i completely pump it during my walks and do on and off jogging regularly within them

for weight training i use 5kg each free weights and pretty much do everything with them...working amrs, back, legs etc doing squats, lunges and heaps of arms exercises with them

Well it sounds to me as if you`re heading in the right direction.HIIT will certainly help you on towards your goals...keep us posted, good luck and welcome:D
