Thanks Man. Nope, I didn't climb up the stairs. My feet were tired from walking around the Loop and River North the day before, so I waited in the LONG line to go up the elevator like everyone else. Note to those who plan on going to Chicago, don't go to the Sears/Willis Tower on a Saturday morning!

Congrats....I have fought depression also and depression makes you want to eat. I know when I felt depressed, food was my BIG homie, a true friend. Food and I would hang out, we'd think up different recipes, we'd go to restaurants and try all of these new dishes ....we had a great time, until I had to really work on myself & then my BIG homie was banished to the level of an acquaintance. I'd see food now & then, but we don't hang, we now have just a working relationship.

Again, congrats you are doin' a GREAT JOB.....

That's awesome!.. it's great that after so long you're still motivated to keep going. You should be so proud of yourself!

Thanks for the comments!

Here is a photo I took today:

Currently, I am wearing size 40 waist jeans and pants, and they're beginning to become loose on my body, so if I can start wearing a 38 inch waist, that will be my first time since I was a teenager. Considering I was damn near a size 50 just three years ago, I can say that's progress!

I still want to get under 200 pounds if possible, and I'm about 45-50 pounds away from that.

I am beginning to see muscles in my quads and biceps and a little bit in my triceps. I've been lifting heavier the past month or so.

This pic was taken on St. Patricks Day a few weeks ago:

Those shorts are 38" waist. The first time I've worn anything under 40 inches since high school. I still have about 50 more pounds I want to lose. I've had some setbacks and have been going through a lot of personal issues that I'm trying to sort out, but I'm trying not to let it get in the way of my goals.
