90 lbs down 1 and a half years later...

I was about 345-350 pounds as of March 2009. I made the decision to lose weight and almost 2 years later, I've lost 90 pounds. I'm this close to hitting the big 100, and I couldn't be happier. My goal is to get under 200 pounds by my 30th birthday next year.

I'm proud of what I've done so far, yet I know I have a long way to go. This has been one of the most challenging and yet most rewarding thing that I've done!

I'm sure you hear constantly that you look younger.
Your efforts have definitely payed off, congratulations, and good luck on the last leg of your journey!

Thank you all for your feedback! I haven't lost quite as much this year as I did last year, but I've been dealing with some real life crap that has got in the way sometimes, but I've held on for the most part. One thing I've learned is that a cheat meal beats a cheat day and I don't have to do it all the time! I used to do a cheat day once a week as a part of my diet and I wondered why I was plateauing so much. Now, I'll try to eat healthy everyday and indulge just once in awhile.

After two years, I can finally say I have lost 100 pounds! I'm at 246 lbs today. I still have about 60-70 more lbs that I'd like to lose, but I'm pretty happy with my results so far. I still have a huge belly, and I have cut down on my cheat days in order for me to help fulfill my goals. The good news is that XL shirts are beginning to hang lose on me and I've lost another inch or so on my waist.

This is a picture of me holding up a before pic of me from long ago:

I bought this shirt barely a month ago and it's already hanging off of me:

Congratulations on hitting 100lbs lost, that's an absolutely incredible achievement, I admire your perseverance and commitment. Keep it up and good luck losing the rest!

You are a true inspiration to me believe it or not.
You're a powerhouse, a 100lbs is a lot and I hope you realize how amazing you're doing.
And hey the way I see it the longer it takes to take off it'll be that much easier to keep it off, quick and unhealthy weight loss usually ends up in gaining all the weight back and sometimes even doubling the weight and you mister are doing so good!

Keep it up ;)

Hello everyone. Still shrinking. I have about 60 more pounds I'd like to lose. I'm finally (barely) under 240 pounds now, so I'm about 110 pounds down.

I'm learning how to cut sugar cravings and trying to reduce my cheat days. I found out that gymnema sylvestre is a good supplement to cut down on cravings for sweets.

I've been battling depression and some other issues in my personal life, but I've been pretty good in terms of maintaining my routine and eating healthy.
