9 pound cut progress and some questions- bef/aft pics as well.

Took about 1 month to lose 9 pounds- diet was high protein, low carbs. Workout was 5x5 with some added stuff like abs, cardio, isolations, etc. Cheated maybe 4-5 times during the month. Have maintained past 2 weeks.

Before Pics at 188 pounds:

After Pics at 179 pounds:

I stopped cutting because I was worried that instead of getting a 6-pack like I have been trying I would just end up looking even more skinnier. I was gonna cut into the 160's but I just don't think I have enough muscle to keep burning and burning.

So should I attempt a bulk or even try carb cycling and get at a solid 180? I think 180 is a good weight for me. Its not too big and its not too small.

Also what do you think my bodyfat% is now?

9 pounds in a month? That's one helluva loss in a short time. I'm no expert but I thought cuts were supposed to be longer? You may have cannibalized some muscle mass.

off topic question....why blur out your face in those pics if you avatar shows your face? lol.

The first week I dropped 4-5 pounds alone simply because I was holding on to alot of water weight.

Also- look closer in my avatar lmao ;)

I'm thinking about doing a very slow clean bulk. Basically just eat a little more then usual- all healthy foods and keep lifting. I need to build some ABS before I can cut and show them and I gotta get bigger and stronger overall. My arms are 13.5" which I don't like. Now that I know I can control a diet and I can do it now- I'm getting paid soon as well so I can buy myself a gym membership and some foods/whey.

Awesome stuff man. I dont know about you but I can see the definition difference. And to do that without working at a gym is a testament to your willpower and resourcefulness!!!

Hey jman i can certainly see a differance, good work on that.

If i was you i`d defo consider doing a clean bulk, maybe up to 190-200ish and cutting back from there. You have a fair amount of mass but i really do believe that you would benefit from an extra 10lbs of muscle to cut back from.
You`ve already proven that you can cut,so go for it.

I kinda had your problem, every time i tried to cut i started to look skinny (in my eyes) and was`nt happy so i decided to bulk up to 200 (194 now) in the long run it`ll be worth it:)

Good luck which ever way you go and keep us posted

Yeah, I have the same problem as you. I'm nowhere near big enough to cut down to a low BF without just looking skinny and scrawny. I'm just gonna try to get bigger and stronger, but at the same time focus on not gaining a lot of fat so I don't have to spend a year getting it off.
