86lbs gone - 27lbs to go!

Here is my 1 year before and after shots. I say after because I have lost ALL my baby weight and THEN some. I want to lose 27 more pounds to officially be done with all of my weight loss.

A word of advice.. ALWAYS take pictures of your weight loss progress. I tend to forget what I looked like a year ago and even though in my mind I know I lost 86lbs I tend to wonder where I lost it from because I forget that mental image of myself a year ago [and I see myself everyday]. I was looking through my old photos and came across my July 1, 2008 picture and my mouth dropped. I now finally see just how MUCH I have lost and from where. I quickly went and took another picture to compare them. I am very proud of myself!

Please tell us what you did! How many calories did you eat and did you exercise?! You look fantastic!

Thanks everyone.

As far as how I did it, I just ate right. I watch my portion sizes and I eat lots of fruits and veggies. I workout 4-5 days a week. I also want to emphasize on the fact that you can also have your cheat days too. I usually have a "cheat" day once or twice a week and just allow myself to eat one meal of whatever I choose. Also eating healthy doesn't mean you have to eat 'like a rabbit' [as a lot of people would comment to me]. Go out and buy a good healthy eating cookbook. You would be surprised at the number of meals, desserts, drinks, breakfasts, sandwiches, salads... you name it, that you can make that are so healthy for you and also low in calories, but taste delicious! It helps so things don't get boring and so you don't 'give up'. Just keep things exciting. Make new meals, try out new things to eat. Add in some exercise and the weight will melt off!

I also started P90X back in March and just finished. I have lost 10lbs and 25inches on that program :)

As far as other exercises. I am a runner [have been for 8yrs] and it was very important for me to get back into running again. I normally run 12-16 miles a week, along with my strength training and taking my son for walks :)

Agree with you about cheat days or meals. If you are going for a lifetime eating adjustment and not just a diet, you have to put these in your regimen. Especially if you are on a long term weight loss. I have a friend who tries to "diet" by depriving herself of everything she likes and as soon as she has a donut ot cookie, she falls off the wagon and goes back to her old eating habits.

By the way you look great and your arms look unbelievable.

Okay here is a frontal pic. I don't have any from before because I was so ashamed to be in front of a camera. So you will have to use your imagination as to what my front looked like based on my before pic at the top [trust me, it was not pretty! lol]

I am still working on my mid section. After having a 9lb baby, it's even more hard to get your stomach back. Slowly but surely it is coming back and my stretch marks are blending in, the more in shape I get.

Here is my left Bicep [my 'weaker' arm].

Lol, congratulations! The results are incredible!

Thanks everyone. I seem to be at that point where I am in the home stretch [25-27lbs more to go] and it has slowed down A LOT. Ugh... I mean I knew it would be like this but it gets annoying!

girl, dont get frustrated... you are doing an AMAZING JOB!!! What a difference between those two pictures!!!!!!! you are doing great! you must be very very proud of yourself!!!!!:jump:

You look amazing!! I haven't been on here in about a year, but I totally remember you! You're doing great and I"m happy to see it!

It's funny, my tummy's starting to look better too, all the saggy skin is getting better. I don't think the pooch/stretch marks will ever go away, but I had 2 9 pound babies lol!
