I know what you mean about getting to goal, but you are not so far away and you can do it!! I started with 154 lbs to lose and am now down to 139. Still a long way to go!! But we can do it.

Hmmm...I don't know K-del...I don't know if anyone is even keeping track actually! People check in once a week or whenever they feel like it since the goals are quarterly. but we have been having great success so far :D I lost 5 lbs last week...but i think some others did as well so I guess I am disqualified as the sugar mama :( Thanks for the compliment on the avi too by the way ;) How have you been doing?

Heh I'm a little behind but better late than never! I want to be down to at least 130 by the end of the year and something feels different about this time around. I feel like I'm actually going to do it. This forum has already helped a ton so I want to share my experience in hopes someone else will benefit. Good luck, everyone!
 
A little under 12 pounds gone since the first of the year...not too bad for just a half month. I already feel so much better and the pants are actually starting to fit again! Now the real test -- off on vacation until next Tuesday in LA area. I figure the sun and glam will be enough to keep me on track. The warmth should get me out of the Chicago hibernation mode for a few days at the very least.

Hope everyone else is sticking with it.
 
Okay I am feeling better now! LOL
I just went back and looked at my original posted weight for this challenge and saw that I started out at 199.2~
Here I have been beating myself up all week 'cuz the scale hasn't gone down past 194 not even realizing how much I had lost in the last 17 days.
5 pounds is totalling amazing!
I really am glad that this forum is here. 'Cuz too many times I catch myself only focusing on that number at my feet, forgeting just how far I have come.
 
wow...it sure looks like we're all having a heck of a start this year!! congrats everyone...lets keep it up!! i'm at 21 gone...heres to another 112!!

I'm still at 274 :nopity:down five pounds from 279 on 01/03/08...But next week :D next week is MINE!!

I don't know exactly how it will be mine...but it will be MINE!!:D

WOW and CONGRATS....to everyone who has lost!!! I'm going to weigh in on Friday..hopefully a lost!!!! I need to lose 25-30 lbs by April 26 (i'm in my cusins wedding) I have to look decent for pics...lol..well I know we are going to have a great week!! Keep up the good work!!! Ohh I have lost 10lbs so far this month!!

Damn...up 3 pounds from vaca...it better fall back off the rest of this week! Too much eating out and cocktails...back to good eating habits and going to the gym.

WOW, Scott, down 23 lbs already. That's awesome. You're almost a third of the way there and it's only the first month. You must be feeling great. Keep up the great work!

Well I am sure alot of that is water weight. When you start off at 355 I am sure I will lose alot early in the first 3 weeks and then taper off to the 2-3 pounds per week which is where I want to be.
I did weigh myself this morning and I was down another 2 pounds. I hit the 25# mark for the first month which I wanted to hit. :party:

Dont worry about that 3lbs that you gained from vaca....just start w/ a fresh week!!

I weighted in this morning and lost 1 lb....not what I wanted but i did eat mexican food this week and had a cupcake last night...lol..so im still please!!!! hope everyone has a nice weekend!!
so thats 11 lbs so far in January!!!
