600 crunches every moring

my fave rapper pharrell does 600 crunches everymoring....what you think this could do for me and how long would it take to notice a difference?

could be a damn long time because that is just f*cking rediculous LOL!!..
overtraining your abs will not do much good for them.
3 days each week.. do 4 sets of 12-15 reps. Add weight and control the motion.

Yeah, I would say that is overtraining the abs. Way too much. I find it hard to believe that pharrell does that and gets results.

Haha, I say that is why pharrel is a rapper and not a personal trainer or exercise physiologist! That is simply ludicrous to even suggest. Treat your abs like any other muscle of the body. I train my abs once per week, at most twice.

And don't think that just because he has great abs means the 600 crunches got him there. He is probably genetically gifted. Abdominal development, at least what you can see is 95% nutrition and 5% exercise.

600 crunches every morning would be more cardio than it would muscle building wouldnt it?
increase weight and do 20 at a time... and when it gets too easy increase weight again not amount of crunches.
running is more sensible for cardio, though i prefer rollerblading myself.

I heard if you do 10,000 crunches in 24 hours you'll get a 6 pack instantly.

but anyways, lol a ridiculous amount of crunches. Nutrition got a lot do with it.

600 crunches in a morning.

That's crazy, and no good for your abs!

If you wanted to do crunches every morning 50 would be fine.

You'd soon notice the difference after a month.

David

50 crunches every morning probably wont over train the abs. Stroutman it would be for you because you probably are doing compounds like deads squats and bench. If the abs are solely being isolated then it it hard to over train them doing 50 crunches in 3 sets.

Good luck with your lower back doing that...

Learn how to do a Janda sit up- Google it- when you can do 5 start adding a weight held at your chest- when you can do 5 increase the weight etc.

Include some twisting in your training and eat clean and a 6-pack becomes a possibility

How will daily exercise representing maybe 10-20% of your 1RM (assuming continuous reps for 1 set...I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't suggesting that she do repeated sets of high intensity work daily without rest) produce any positive physical results?
