54 lbs lost.

Awesome progress! I was in a (gasp) size 28 when I started, am a 14 now. So after losing 100 pounds I'm at your starting size, lol.. can't wait to see you when you are done losing, cause you are already looking incredible!

Great Job! Be proud, you look amazing ;) It's taken me about a year to get where I'm at right now too and I'm really happy. Sure it probably could have come off a lot faster but I feel like the weight is really going to stay off this time and now I have developed much better habits. I bet you can relate :)

Hi JoeyScotland

What a transformation, you must be so proud. The only advice I can give you about toning the tummy is a secret i learnt from a japanese friend and that is after the japanese ladies have their babies they wear a tummy controlling undergarment which enables them to get their tummy back into previous form they are very concsious of getting this area of their bodies back into shape very quickly. I hope this helps maybe if you do this and the tummy crunches it will all come together. Goodluck.
Sam:)

MelanieAnn- Thank you :) You yourself have come such a long way! Congrats!

Sammyboy24- I can relate for sure. They say that people who lose weight slower have much of a better chance of keeping the weight off for good and losing a little slower may be good for my skin as far as not having saggy skin afterwards. Thanks for your comment :)

Bexi- Thank you so much!!! :) To achive I plan on sticking to my healthy eating habits, working out five days per week and walking with my dog for an hour daily. I have increased my cardio from thirty minutes to forty five to an hour. I also do upper and lower body strength training, alternating days as well as crunches and leg lifts daily. I will also start playing softball midway through next month.

Nans69- Thanks for the info and compliment! :) I wouldn't really think that by wearing a garment like such would do much for you but, then again I'm no expert. I'll stick with the diet and exercise for now and if all else fails, who knows what I will resort to :p

Thank you all who have commented and for your kind words and support.

Ouch. Ha! No, I already stated that.

Oh no ouch, I didn't mean it rude at all (just missed the part about you not having any children)! I was just thinkin' that if you had, some of your LITTLE pooch might be your ab muscles seperated BUT since you haven't had children, it's not that and THAT'S GOOD NEWS! That means your belly WILL flatten out (and it already looks great) so just keep up the good work! Sorry if I offended you.

No, no...you didn't offend :) No worries. Thats why I say the "HA!"

Yeah, it has flattened down a little more since I posted these last set of pics I think. Fingers crossed :)

I was thinking about you and wanted to say I totally think you could rock a bikini this summer. I really do think you look hot! You've got a very nice body. Maybe you don't feel confident with your progress enough to get into a bikini yet, but I just wanted to say it is TOTALLY doable.

Congrats on all the progress! I have also slimmed down a little more since my last pics. You rock and you look great.

Awe, thank you so much! You know....I just got back from the pool and I wore a bikini! :p I said "screw it" and you know what.....I was the thinnest person there! I went with my friend who is pretty chunky and she wore a bikini so I just figured what the heck!? Everything is decent besides my belly but, I refuse to hide away under a tankini another summer and I have lost a little more since my post and I know in the next month I will look much better, not only am I working out and doing more cardio but, now I'll be swimming daily.........wooohoo! :p And wearing the bikini will keep me going, I mean focused, I don't wanna be a whale in a bikini, ya know? :p I posted a pic my friend took but, it doesn't show much since I was floating around.

Congrats on losing some more weight! Good on ya! :)

I hope your out there in you bikini too, thats if it's warm enough where you are. I think we both don't look too shabby :) Thanks for thinking of me, that was very sweet :)

cain300- thank you so much! :)

I'm glad to hear about your update. You might as well make friends with your belly as you work to flatten it. You are right about it being the last place it will come off. I think that just like finding out how much willpower you actually have (and I believe everybody does, they just label themselves as not having it - and thus believe it) you will find out how patient you are as well (it's another virtue I believe we all have and don't all know about it). I don't know the exact reasons why, but I can assure you that your resistance to your belly is only making things worse. When you start loving your body as it is (regardless of what it looks like) you sort of subconsciously develop a healthy relationship with it where your spirit, mind and body all work together. When you're against it, not so much. I believe that is exactly one of the reasons why people get so fat in the first place, they either loath their bodies or completely disconnect from it... I don't know all of this is stuff I believe and can't really prove. But anyway, as long as you keep a calorie deficit going through diet and optimally exercise as well you will be losing fat, and at some point the fat of your belly is going to have to come off. The specific appearance of your belly is hereditary so don't even bother giving thought to that. Worry about you can control... your fat. And I'm sure by now you know that the real change happens over time, not over night. Who said you can't wear a bikini the way you look now? Answer: You did! Wear the bikini, I'm sure somehow it will program your mind to start seeing yourself as a bikini-bodied woman and it will give you a great head start. I don't know you but so many people have this self-image of themselves as "chubby" or "fat" and those people usually just get fatter and fatter. I'm sorry if that word sounds offensive, but it is the word I use because I find it to be most fitting.

I've written so much! Anyway, keep the fat loss up girl, you'll get to your flat stomach. I know what you feel like though because I'm not totally happy with the way my belly looks and guess what most people tell me? That I have body dysmorphia!
