Me now, at around 235-236.

My goal is to get down to around 190-200... and then start lifting weights. Of course, I will reassess as I go but if anybody's got any suggestions for a good body weight, please feel free to chime in. I'm about 5'10... 5'11 on a good day ;).

Thanks for any and all comments. :)

Looking Great!!!!!!
Your goal seems logical...you can make it. Before long, you'll be there!
How long did it take?

I'm about 5'10... 5'11 on a good day ;).

What? Is that the difference between wearing high heels and flat shoes? ;)

Honestly...you're going to inspire a lot of people!

I started in late October. My weight then was exactly 289.8

This particular before picture was before October. I know, at one point, I'd ballooned up to 305 pounds... my peak. So that's why that before picture could've been anywhere between 290-305.

Great Job dude!:hurray:

Keep up the hard work. I think you will look great at between 200 and 190.

I am 6ft and my goal is to hit 180 pounds. I think that might be a bit aggressive for me but I will cross that bridge when I get there.

Again, great job!

Great work man!

I'd be interested in hearing how you went about doing it as well.

And adding weight training into the mix sooner, rather than later, might be a good idea. Remember, it's about changing your physique, not just your weight.

WOW!! Great job, you look half your size in that picture. You look really great. Keep up whatever you're doing because it obviously is working.

congratulation's. you lost 50 pounds in 3 months?.... what have you been doing?

Well, 4 months, yes.

Basically what I've been doing:

-Drinking only water.
-Limiting my caloric intake - taking my basal metabolic rate and then chopping it down by a sufficient amount and taking in that amount of calories in good foods.
-Exercising:
a.) Lots of push-ups. Lots. I started doing about 50 a day or so. Now I do about a 100.
b.) Running/walking/swimming.
c.) Playing soccer. A lot of times, I'll just take an hour out of my day to do something physical.

For a while, I never ate after 5PM - I did this as a personal reason because I often got off work late and would go to Jack in the Box and order up. So I only gave myself a small window of time to eat and it controlled my portions better. At this point, it's just a guideline.

What I'm doing is very simple and doesn't involve anything horribly time-consuming or hard to do. And it's worked.

Very good job. Did you go swimming at the local pool? Id hate to go swim as I am, im the size/weight/height you are now by the way, but bigger build cause I have been doing weights for months.

Went to a recreational center. I wanted to lose more weight before I started lifting myself because I didn't want to be huge as I already was. I thought it'd be a better idea to slim down and then start adding the weight training.

Like I said the only real, muscle-building exercise I do now is lots of push-ups.
