50 Pounds to Subaru Journal

Now that I've bought some new clothes more people are asking me if I've lost weight. How fun!

I notice changes almost daily now. Today I happened to notice that my butt is far less dimpled than it used to be. Who saw that coming?! I haven't really been paying attention to my rear and today I suddenly realized that it has smoothed out a lot. Woohoo!

I'm up to 177.2 today unfairly. I was remarkably good yesterday and not all that bad Wednesday so I shouldn't have gained. I'm was going to sulk for a while but I decided that I'll be proud of the really good days.

Last month I was on a plateau for 20 of 28 days so I know I have the will to stick it out no matter what the number on the scale says.

It's just not as much fun.
 
It will go back down!!! and your right about the new clothes! It is amazing how good people people look when they get smaller and wear fitted clothes! yea!!! Hope you have a great weekend!!!!

Whoa you two are doing great. Congratulations on your weight loss and progress in general. 32 pounds gone and dropping!

I'm sort of maintaining, could be at a small deficit, hoping for a pound a month.

Still trying to figure out what works for me.
 
Happy - you're over half way there! By the time you figure out "what works for you" you'll be done! I think whatever you're doing seems to be working well :)

what I've been doing is learning more and more

and following Steve's advice. He started me at 2250 calories and persuaded me to kick my exercise up a notch. I try to do something different each day, swim, aerobics, long walk, maybe a run/walk once a week.

I have been communing with QJay and Cannon who I believe are also striving for 2000 calories and exercise.

Also recently really inspired by Tomo who has impressed upon me the need to do something everyday and to realize that the weight drops when it wants to drop.

I have been holding steady at 190 for several week but about ten days ago I had a real physical day and my weight dropped down to 187 for a day. 3 pounds!. So... this told me that its not only possible, its happening.

I am working on getting my ass in gear to do some gardening (for other people) and this will up the activity. I'm 42.

Thank you for dropping by my journal. You are doing a FANTASTIC job. Without looking at your ticker I read the first page of your diary (no time to read it all unfortunately) and you said your goal and I look down and you're only 15lbs away! That's really really huge! I hope you're just as proud of yourself. I love seeing people reach their goals, it helps keep me going:)

And the costume you're working toward wearing is gorgeous! Congrats!! :)
 
Hey everybody!

My weight has still stayed stubbornly high, but I went and worked out for an hour last night when I really didn't feel like going. I'm proud of myself.

I'm getting ready to go walk. Should be fun.

It's warm enough now to start swimming and the apartment pools are filling up. I'm awfully tempted and think I'm going to swim tomorrow with my friends.

I worked on my skirt pretty much all afternoon <tired>

It's nearly done though, one more good night's work and I should be done with it.

don't worry about what the scale says today -sometimes they're just being hostile... if you know you've been doing what you should be doing -it will cooperate eventually...

I found a zit on my chin today so maybe I'm PMSsing? I seem all out of whack for the last couple of months and can't predict what my body is doing. It's kind of miserable.

I am going to eat great and exercise well today and let the numbers say what they may tomorrow.
 
Give it a week. It has gone down before and it will again. Just be strong!! You even worked out when you didn't want to instead of giving up!! You are doing well! Keep going! I love the hair and boots!!! and I am excited for the marathon!!:)

Thanks for the encouragement.

I did forget to mention that I walked 4 miles on Saturday at the half marathon qualifying speed. I'm going to do 3 miles 3 times in the week and then increase my long time by a mile a day in the weekend.
 
I haven't had a chance to try the fDQ udge bar yet :-( But I do keep fudgsicles stocked in my freezer.

Tonight I jogged for almost a whole mile at once. I was going 3 miles and noticed that I was OK when jogging but when I slowed down I started to get cramps and have trouble breathing. So, I picked it back up again. I jogged for about 97% of the last mile of my 3 mile journey.

Also, it's officially pool season! My friends and I took our first swim of the year today. Yay!
 
oh wow well done for all that running llamabean :] soon you'll be able to keeprunning and running and you will feel great. keep at it - you'll see the results in no time at all!
 
Congrats on the running. I'm hoping to start a running program this spring, once the snow is gone. I just want to lose some more weight, and find a super-duper sports bra. My old ones have absolutely no supprt left in them, so I would probably end up with a few black eyes! LOL!. I also don't like feeling my back end flopping up and down when I run.
