50 Pounds to Subaru Journal

These past 2 days I've been back in the swing and feeling good. I have a revised goal for November that should have me back on track by December 1.

Our new office is right across the street from an Arby's. Totally great for me - I love Arby's Melts, it's like eating a delicious cheeseburger with only 300 calories!

Heya's Bean,
I was stopping by to pay ya a visit it's been a
while! I see your lil snail is moving right along congrats!
I hope you have a gr8 weekend,Tammy:D

I was just looking at my charts - and it suddenly dawned on me that I'm scheduled to cross 20 lbs lost in the next two weeks. 20 pounds. one more time, Twenty. Pounds.

When I started this at the end of last August, I had absolutely no idea I'd actually still be going now. I know I couldn't still be here if it weren't for you guys. This last day browsing the board again has entirely reinspired me. Thank you guys.

195.4 today! I'm back under my original goal lines. And here I thought it would take me until the end of November to be back on track!

I thought everybody was a bit insane when they recommended a cheat day, allowing them for myself as a way to keep me sane, but not to speed up weight loss.

I'm convinced of the cheat day's power now. While I was gone I had 4 moderate cheat days over which i gained 1.4 pounds. But in the 4 days since then I've dropped that original 1.4 plus an additional 2 pounds. I feel like all of the sudden i'm getting that unrealistically fast weight loss from the first two weeks of my new lifestyle.

This encourages me, because I know I'm going to be off the wagon when I'm back home for Christmas. Maybe this lesson for me is to just not sweat it so much, and give my body the chance to reset.

Woohoo! 194.6! I'm practically withering away!

I'm scheduled to cross 20 pounds lost in the next 8 days. Here's crunch time! Then before I know it I'll be out of the 190s (22 days!)

I am so glad I have my chart to give me motivation. Each day I feel like I might give up, but I am SO close to on track that I just have to keep going. Right now I'm only .6 lbs below my goal weight so I have to keep striving or it will catch up with me before I know it.

This morning I got up and worked out again for the first time in 3 weeks. It's amazing how fast you can get off track when you just skip one day! But I'm restarting and going to do great. I have still been fairly consistent with working out at night.

I also have to start working on Christmas presents, which is a mixed blessing. I always do crafts for people, and this year is chainmaille. This is rather time consuming, so I am afraid I'll have less time to exercise. However, it will keep my hands busy and off the snacks. So, we'll see how this goes.

When I originally started working out I set January 1 as my point-of-no-return. If I am at my target weight on January 1, I am in this thing for the long haul and will start building my costume. If not, I'll plan a different costume. I'm expecting this thing to be over $400, so if I'm not going to lose the weight it will be a costly mistake.

I was just working out in my apartment gym. There is two sections to our fitness center, one with weight training and the other with cardio, separated by a wall with two wide walkways on either side. I can always see nearly all the strength training area from the elliptical I use, and they can see me in the wall mirror.

Every night there is a group of guys working out, and every single night there is one guy in particular who is super macho and never misses. I am the next most consistent attender, and often it's just he and I sweating it out while others come and go. Tonight he was walking past my elliptical and said "Keep it up, you're doing great!"

I've never been so encouraged!

Hey there girl! I haven't checked up on you in a while but it looks like you're doing great!!!
And how great of that guy to cheer you on as well! Just reading that happening to you made ME happy and encouraged me to keep at it!

WOOO! You're gonna be looking great in that costume!

Thanks for the support everybody! I'll probably get around to all your journals today - yesterday was super busy

I HIT 20 POUNDS LOST TODAY!!!!!!!!!

But - I didn't get up early enough to exercise, and yesterday I had some major cravings, so tomorrow I may be up a bit higher again.

BUT HOT DOG I MADE 20 POUNDS LOST!!!!!!!

I think the trick that has restarted my weight loss is large amounds of exercise. Once again trying to get in the habit of 30 minutes in the morning and an hour at night. It's like magic.
