4me's(Shelley's) Journal

I have a skinny as a rake sis-in-law too! LOL
She's all tellin me how she only eats a handful of pretzels cause thats all she can afford, drivin in her H2 hummer and living in her big brand new house. BLAH! PHEWY!
And a skinny as a pole SISTER does not help either...
Yup I am the chubbiest in the fam (all sides of the fam 2), but I think I am the sexiest, thanks to everyones compliments here, and my Phil! lol

So it's not only me with the skinny sister in law. They should be illegal. I have no doubt that you are sexiest Christina, you are gorgeous!! They can have their flat chests and no asses.LOL

Hi Shelley,
Glad you made it through Thanksgiving without being tempted by dessert. How rude of monster in law to ask if you were on a diet at the dinner table! Skinny people just don't know what's it like to even be asked about that subject while you are alone, much less at the table with your whole family.
I started saying "Why do you ask?" to all of the impolite or nosey questions people ask me. Not saying that would be appropriate with monster in law, but it gets people off my back.
I haven't told anyone I'm losing weight either, except for the forum. I hate Diet hawks. KC, you made me laugh with that. I can't stand it. Funny how those hawks get when you actually start looking better than them. hehe Good luck this week Shelley!

Thanks everyone, as always. It's so nice to have non judgemental people here to listen. I appreciate it.
Today was a good day. NOOOOO cravings what so ever. maybe it has to do with the fact that I have had my hands in fish tanks all day cleaning them.
b-raisin bran crunch with skim milk
L- salad with raisins sliced almonds and a few croutons.
S- I will let you know when I decide :)
I eat a lot of raisins, no wonder I'm so regular :p

Hahaha, 4me, you're so funny! It looks to me like you're doing great! You're strong and healthy and really working at it! That's so cool that your friend's husband noticed how great you look!

Let's hear it for raisins! Hahahaha!

LOL who hoo Raisins :D Today was a good day food wise, not enough exercise though, feeling a little dragged. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I walked all the way across town because my little girl wanted McDonalds, don't worry I had a grilled chicken salad. We walk everywhere, even with 2 cars sitting in the driveway. I'm not looking forward to the massive amounts of snow we get around here. I guess I will have to look on the up side, think of all the exercise I will get shovelling my driveway. :D

I don't have a sister in law but I do have a bean pole sister! I also decided to not say anything about my weight loss. I figured I would just let people notice for themselves. I hadn't seen my mom in a month, and after 28 pounds lost she didn't notice at all. Well, honestly I don't think there is a big change to see, but I hoped that she would notice. Oh well, they all will by Christmas!! Hope to be down to about 205 by then. That will be 60 pounds total so they better notice!

ah! skinny siisters! *twitch* I have TWO of them! I'm the chubby (fat) baby sister. It drives me nuts. Granted, one does have weight struggles, and she fought for her size 6, but the other one...she's ALWAYS been a rake. I think she was in a size ten for a while, but she has really tiny bones and no mucsle mass...but I think she's in an 8 again, and wearing size 6 tops. grr! And she's never EVER had weight issues...if she has, it was under weight issues...her metabolism is incredible...she had to litterally pig out in order to not have under weight issues...gah.

yay for raisens! Hee, your food looks awesome, Shelley!

Today was a good day, but I feel like I may have a cold coming on
b-raisin bran with skim milk
L-salad with raisins and almonds
s-veggie sub on wholewheat

Those people with the high metabolisms, wouldn't that be nice to be able to pig out all the time without worrying about our weight. I wonder if it ever catches up on them or are they blessed for life :p Thanks for all the positive words guys, it really helps.
Shelley

Hey have anyone of you guys in group 1 weighed in to see how you are doing? Despite TTOM I will still get on the scale tomorrow, it's been about 5 days since. I'm not too worried I have really been doing well.

You have been doing great! Keepit up!!! Let me know what you weigh in at tomorrow! =) Good luck!
Don't get sick ... get some sleep, fluids .... rest!!!!

Thanks guys for the kind words, I think I kicked the cold, just a little tickle in my throat. I weighed myself today and I'm down from 175 to 173.5 but officially I'm going to say 174 (even though I'm closer to 173 :) ) I think I better start working a little harder if I plan on being 170 next Friday
b-cherry yogurt
L- bowl of Life cereal
s-huge caesar salad :)

Again not enough water. I really have to work at that, I should wear one of those hats the guys wear to a football game with the straws coming out of it except I won't have beer in it I'll have water. Hope everyong is having a great day.
Shelley

Hey ya!!!!! Good that your getting over your little cold!!!!.......I like the hat idea for water!!!....Maybe even an I.V.!!!!!!
Texas was talking about her mom not noticing her weight loss........I have found out if your still wearing baggy clothes....people will not really notice it then either!! You need to dress in away that flatters your body...so that they KNOW you look different but not so sure why.......I kept wearing my loose clothes when I would go visit my family..until I wore a cut top and skirt with heels did they FINALY take notice!!!!
Good luck in this competition!!!!..I know you can do it!!!!

Hey Shelly! GROUP 1 ROCKS!!!!!!! hehe* But also, if you're having trouble getting your water in, you could try carryn a water bottle with you at all times ... thats how I get it in. Or make some crystal light ... yummy =)

That's what I need KC, sexier clothes :D I can see why that works, we spend so much of our lives in baggy clothes trying to hide our bodies it's a shock to see us in form fitting clothes. Thanks for the kind words. Skinny I'm definitely going to try carrying water around, then I won't forget to keep hydrated ;) It's so nice to have the positive remarks from you gals, it helps everyday. Thanks,
Shelley

I agree about fitting clothes. I've only just recently started getting into them (as well as pink! now that's something I thought would never happen...), and you not only feel better about yourself, others will see that!

*hugs* I'm gonna miss you! Keep up the hard work, Shelley! I can't wait to come back to see we've won (and I'm gonna contrabute to that!)

Go group one!

I will miss you too. (hugs)

Tomorrow I'm starting a new aerobics class. I will let you guys know how it goes. I'm going to get down to 170 no matter what  (well within reason :) ) Thanks guys for all the kind words, as always.
Shelley
