I am currently still cutting bodyfat down, im around 15% i believe and have been hitting the gym 4x a week doing upper/lower split. I am lifting heavy and doing 5x5 or 4x6 depending on the week. I do not want to lose muscle mass but sometimes getting to the gym on the weekends is tough since i am also in school and have a thesis to write. My gym closes real early on the weekends, 4pm and 2pm sat/sun. Would i still be ok if i am lifting heavy but only 3x a week? Id end up doing Upper/Lower/Upper one week then Lower/Upper/Lower the next. Would i still retain muscle mass while cutting or will that one less session per week hurt me? I am doing only compound movements (squat,pullups,bench press,rows etc).
