3rd Times a Charm!

Holy sh** Jess! 4 lbs?! You kicked some a** this week! :hurray: You go girl! I like how you set mini goals for yourself... you could totally lose 18 pounds by Vegas I think! What is the Precor Cross Trainer?

its almost like a cross between a stair stepper and an elliptical... thats the best way for me to describ eit anyway. Its intense! I wanna die after about ten minutes, but theres this little stride counter on it, and I don't know about anyone else who uses it, but its addictive for me because I wanna hit a certain amount of strides before I get to a certain amount of time, does that really even make sense?? Anyway, its some work, man! Holyyyy crap.

Okay, I think I know what that looks like... maybe between that crazy machine and no alcohol, you're body decided to drop a few for ya! :hurray: Seriously! I wish I'd lost 4 pounds this week!!!
 
Today I ate a little bit of ice cream(worth 220 cals) and some popcorn, so I just decided to do quite a bit extra cardio. ok, well, not a TON extra, but I normally do upwards of 40 to 45, and I decided to do a full hour tonight. So I did my chest workout, then jump on the precor and get my program ready blah blah blah. Minute #46- ARE YA SERIOUS?!- my zune quits working. I'm soooo mad! That left me 14minutes with nooo music, no radio, no tv, nada! GAAA! And the gym music sucks. psh. Jeez. I've NEVER dropped my zune, left it where it can get water damaged, the battery was full, and it has its own little silicone case to prevent damage. Lotta good that did me! So anyway, those last fourteen minutes were PURE torture. Worse than the first forty-six minutes. Now I'll hafta did out my old cheapy mp3player which is TOTALLY not as good, and I'll hafta wait massive amounts of weeks for Microsoft to fix it, ga. I could scream, really. psh. loll... I'm just bitching to bitch right now! ANyway, goin to bed, will check everyone tomorrow!

My sisters got it for me for Christmas last year... I THINK it has a one year warranty on it, so I think that since its almost up I'm just gonna call em and tell em its acting weird so that I can basically have it known that something happened. We'll see I guess :) BUT, it worked fine tonight- almost like it froze and I had to let the battery die down and then recharge it. eh.
 
Tonight was back; for cardio I did the cross trainer for 45min and 3.08miles.

Biggest Loser started tonight. Bleh. Last season was the only one I've ever watched, and I will probably watch it this season to, mostly because I like to see the before and afters, but that show SERIOUSLY pisses me off! Some guy lost 31 lbs in ONE WEEK. Ok, really?? If I could work out eight hours a day, eat 1200 calories, have personal trainers AND nutritionists, oh, yeah, not to mention 250k waiting for you at the end of the season, YOUR FRIGGIN RIGHT I'D LOSE WEIGHT! grr.

Anyway, so I'm gonna try to have a killer week, because Friday night we're going out for a friends birthday, and I know I'll drink a little. But I gotta be careful, cuz I'm so close to fitting into happier clothes that I can almost TASTE it! I really wanna get there before Vegas, and I know I've said that already, but nothing is stopping me from getting this goal. No matter how much I ache after a workout, and no matter how much I want to eat nothing but chocolatey goodness, I am NOT giving in. I can't. Its dissapointing seeing yourself get somewhere manageable, gain it almost all the way back, and then have to lose all over again from the beginning. Very frustrating. SO, after Vegas, I will continue to work out, eat healthy, and will stay focused on making and reaching shorter/smaller goals.
 
Today was a decent day, didn't have time to eat breakfast so I bought a protein bar at work. It was ok I guess, the whole bar had 400cals, which is A LOT so I only ate half. But it was pretty filling, so we'll go with it. Soup and fruit for lunch, and mashed potatoes for supper. Eh. I know.. carbo city! They were sooo goood tho..

Workout: Shoulders. cardio: cross trainer 45min, 3.09miles. Cardio minutes, miles, and calories were almost identical both last night and tonight, so I guess I'm staying consistant with stride and such.

I started taking some triflex today cuz my knees, while they don't REALLY hurt, make an AWEFUL grinding sound. I'm a little freaked out about it, so I'm hoping to get this stuff and some fish oil into my joints and help a little. Definately don't need to pay for friggin knee surgery!

hahahah YOU"RE telling me JESS!!! I always think the same...SHIT...if I could WIN crazy money too.....I THINK I would do it Harder & Stronger than EVER!!! YUP!!! :iagree:....yeah...in a sense ME TOO, they Inspire and PISS me off too....like WTF@*(Y%N#(Y....hahaha :smilielol5:.........

HAHA! Thats what I thought... seriously tho- these people are eating four and five double cheeseburgers in one sitting, and STILL eat other foods, so ya put em somewhere where they don't have all those calories to maintain that giant amount of body weight and no KIDDING. When I lost all that weight a coupla years ago, I had gone cold turkey on pop and fast food and lost 12lbs the first week. Yeah, it was probably a lotta water from all that sodium I was taking in, but now I wish I could do that again, lol.

Anyway... you go girl! You ARE going to fit into those smaller clothes and you ARE going to maintain and continue your loss after Vegas... no point in back trackin'!!!
GOD I HOPE SO! I figured it out tonight, and to lose about sixteen lbs in the next five and a half weeks would equal just over 3lbs a week. Eh. I don't see three lbs a week happening, but I think I'm gonna get damn close to where I wanna be.

Triflex and fish oil? Maybe I should try that... does it help when you just wake up kinda sore cuz you're old lol? I had knee surgery a couple years ago and sometimes that knee is pretty achey (sp?) first thing in the morning or after I've been sitting a while.

Triflex is glucosamine, chondroitin, and msm; sposeta help build cartiliage in the joints and help with pain and inflammation- my customers rave about it, so I decided to give it a go. And fish oil, ohhh man. EVERYONE should take fish oil if they don't eat enuf of it. Its good for lubricating joints, hair and skin, lowering bp and cholesterol levels, good for preserving lean muscle mass when working out, and psychologists and psychiatrists recommend it to everyone from kids to elderly cuz in the brain it helps with depression, add and adhd symptoms, blah blah. I love talking about this stuff,lol... so that was a bit of a rant :)

SOOOO hoping that my "official" empty stomach weigh in gives me at least two lbs. Reallllly hoping for two.. Guess we wait n see!

I'm gonna hafta be really careful tomorrow night, going out for a friends bday, and I know I'm gonna drink, but I'm not going to overdo it, and drink lots of water- hopefully I can balance it? Anyway, probably won't be on tomorrow night, so I will check on everyone Saturday!

So I weigh myself every night at the gym just to make sure that I'm within a few lb range for the week, and tonight, after eating the most calories this week, I was down a lb.. Was moving a little slower than usual tonight... bleh.

So, Friday, for my friends birthday, we all went to Red Lobster first, I ate some damn good food, had 2 pina coladas(mmmm) and then had some cake afterwards. Yeah, cals were probably higher than neccessary, but I killed myself all week, and then before dinner I ate such low calories that it wasn't even funny! But, it was all in the name of trying to be "healthy-ish". We went to a few bars afterwards, I ended up having 1 red beer, and then 3 shots the rest of the night. I'm actually pretty surprised- didn't drink as much as I thought I would :)
Saturday night, another friends birthday, ate some more cake, had a hamburger, and then between four of us later that night at a friends house, we finished off 3 bottles of wine. Oh man. How aweful! Really felt bloated and crappy all day today, so thats probably why the gym was a little bit rough :rolleyes:
Only seven weeks till Vegas- assuming I can keep going with what I've been getting, and NO MORE huge Saturday binges like this week, I can *probably* hit a total of 14lbs more by then... I would like at least another 10 or 12 tho. I weigh less now than I did in my friends wedding, so that makes me very happy! Gotta keep it going till I've reached a total goal!

Jess don't worry about it...you did GOOD for 2 weeks, and if you feel good about your decisions, then so be it right?!?!.....YOU are really inspiring me with those workouts!

Didn't eat the greatest today, was craving a lotta salty stuff- tom is here.. ohhh joy. Also, the scale says I'm UP four lbs., which is I'm hoping just TOM bein an asshole.
Gym: chest, cardio: cross trainer 55min, 3.93miles. <--------Didn't bring a hairclip with me. BLEH! That was aweful, all my hair was sweaty and sticking to my face and neck.. bleh. Won't be doing that again anytime soon.
Anyway, due to the four lb possible increase, I'm gonna eat lots of fiber and protein tomorrow. Yum.
