WOW you ARE pretty dern fit! I hope you do decide to start jogging--it's tough, sometimes, to get up and DO it, but you'll DEFINITELY see results in the measurements! Glad you had fun on Halloween with the kiddies!

The kids are good:)Thanx for asking.I have found a reward system with stickers for Taneesha's behaviour that seems to be working.As for Kaylea well she is a teenager, not much more to say there.Kaylea needs to run a 1k for school also and her time is the same as mine, lol...so we decided we will start jogging together in the evenings, just gotta figure it out.

Good job on not eating any actual junk food. I have a SERIOUS problem with that. What is a pizza pop though?


I know I was bad for sooo looong there.But with joining bootcamp and such I wanna make sure im using everything to the potential tha tI can.I wanna maximize my results.

A pizza pop is a pastery like dough folded in half and filled with filling.Like pep and cheese and so on.

It has been good so far, this last class was a killer.All stations and mini circuits *UGH* lots of runing:( And tons of ab work...it was an ab class from hell.LOL!

I love brussel sprouts and always get teased for it.Also love asparagus and actually craved it when preggo!We made special trips for asparagus!LOL

Thanx Kim, Ive been off track and a little lost for a cpl of months but trying to do better.Boot Camp has totally motivated me as I wanna see the best results I can.

I had hard boiled eggs, i usually make them hard boiled or a little soft boiled.Im lazy and wanna eat t hem as is, LOL!
 
Food Wednesday

Berry smoothie

1 cup asparagus (frozen - YUCK)

Water - 2 liters

Exercise - 60 mins boot camp
10 min walk/jog - LOL PATHETIC - I tried to run our laps after work today but got really crampy so I couldnt do it:(But i will keep trying so I can improve!
 
Boot Camp - BRUTUAL!

Today at boot camp we started with our 1k run.I walk it and jog it...it is a work in progress

Then we did circuit training...DAMN!We started with crunches then ran forwards , sidewas and backwards.Did tons of jumping jacks (75) Burpies (45) squat jumps (45) lumber jacks (60)
2 more runs.BLAH.Running and squating between pilons, 6 of them, from middle out to the sides and back and the rest of the class was ab work!An ab class form hell, LOL!
 
I tell you what, Boot-Camp is one of the best workouts you can get. It works your entire body and there is no mercy!! 1K, YEAH I love to run, and it takes a long time to get your body into running, I was just about there before I took a few months off the gym, now I get it going again, damn it. LOL

Great job!! I'm sure your ready for a nice hot soak in the tub after your workouts!
 
Food Thursday


a cup of pasta or so with cheese

Exercise - 60 mins boot camp - It was hard for me today.I had major cramping so for half my 1k i kinda limped and whined and I couldnt do the first ten mins of exercises (lunges with weights) as my cramping was so bad but it eased off eventually.

Today was arms.I did somethign I never thought I could do.I used the bench to do a squat.Like sitting on the edge and then lowering my body with my arms. We did push ups using the bench as a plank and lowering our bodies but I chose to do regular push ups. I have alot of weihg ton my body, my resistance aloneis good, within time I will move on to the other ones.

I spoke with my instrustor, we are concerned abt my lack of sleep as I hardly get any.This class was the worst for me as we went back to back and as my work week comes to an end i get more sleep deprived. Any way the instructor is going to meet with me 30 mins before clas starts to help me out wiht my 1k.To help push me along and for support.This is cool:)

The best boto camp news I recieved was she told me that she had one lady loose 100 lbs in 3 months.Im definately excited with the possibility of results I can see in the near future.
 
Ok took a little breaky...LOL...Eating on Fri was fine...Sat and Sun awful...not worth mentioning LOL...I went to my parents for the weekend.We were celebrating Dads kidney birthday.3 years ago he had a kidney transplant:)He asked us to come and celerate with them so we did. However I really paid for the food I ate...horrible, horrible, horrible gas and so on.

Today (Monday)

a cup of chicken noodle soup
2 crackers

a chicken samosa

6 digestive chocolate cookies(Shame on me, went grocery shopping, we bought them as a treat they were on sale)

2 salmon patties
a cup of cauliflower

Pop (BAD)

exercise - 60 mins boot camp and 20 min walk

Boot camp was rough today.It was arms day.BLAH...It was killing me what we were doing, I sweated the most this class than the other ones, lol.But it is over.

We are gonna start going to boot camp 4 days a week.Adding one more day, we will see if i have what it takes.
 
Tuesday

I ate a bit more today than usual...

Fruit smoothy...I made it with cranberry juice today, YUM!

a piece of french bread
2 teriaki chicken wings, baked

half a bowl of french onion soup (didnt really like it)

a banana
5 cookies (BAD,BAD,BAD)
a dill pickle

a roast beef sandwich on 12 grain bread with cheese and mustard and mayo

Exercise - 20 min walk (brisk pace)
60 mins boot camp
 
Im dealing with bad cramping and we are all trying to figuer out how and why...my cramping is in my shins...it gets so bad that walking is hard.I cant walk them off or stretch them out...

My friend Steph whom im attending boot camp with suggested more potasiam, gator raid or power aid for electrolights and warming my legs.Like wearing leg warmers and such or something like that.

I thought the cramping was from not being warmed up before running but even with walking first and only just walking I still get cramped.I know my biggest problem is tat I dont get enough sleep if at all any...and with now doing the boot camp it is prob just a bit much for my body...I dunno...

Im open to suggestions...
 
Hey Cerella, that's awesome you and your teen might train for that 1K together! But it SUCKS that you can't sleep well--wow you must be STRONG, woman! All that arm work! Do you think you might have sleep apnea? It's a real killer, my poor gramps has had it his whole adult life :( You stretch, right? Those cramps sound like a total pain--OUCH! Hey, hope it improves!

With the cramoing it doesnt seem to matter what I do...

As far as the sleeping issue, it is due to me working nights.I have no issues sleeping when im h0me and can go to bed at night.I have major issues sleeping durign the day lately...

I might need to go and get a sleeping pill as all natural things seem to be not working...
 
OH! I get it, your body's rhythm is all screwed up--I learned about it in biological psychology, how the body "likes" regular sleeping patterns and reacts to sunlight, melanin, etc....I hate to say it, but in this case, maybe a sleeping aid IS needed--like a non-narcotic, like Ambian or something?
 
hey cerella :) i had similar problems when i wanted to start running...someone told me it was because of my weight and the straining on the legs when you hit the ground. don't know it its true, but i'm sure it will go away after a while.
a little trick also helps. when you come home, lie on your back (you can do it on your bed) and put your legs up against the wall for about 10 minutes. it helps a bit to ease the pain. bath also helps but not for a long period. however, you do need to let your muscles heal. otherwise you just might be doing more damage then good. fast walking can be just as efficient as jogging and not so straining for your shins.
and don't forget to put some gel for muscle pain when you get home.

I wondered if it was my weight as well.However, I use to walk like crazy and never had any issues:(It has just been recently...I use to jog/walk as well...

I dunno...The only diff now is I work nights and I think my body is just strained...

Val I take Melatonin:)LOL, It use towork like a charm and now it doesnt.
