37lbs down from 338.8 to 301.1

Thanks a million for all the great comments. I've been on cloud 9 since the beginning and seeing great results. I know I should realize the water retention is not my fault and I can't change it...but Im so down today. 1st time since the beginning. So all of your kind words are sure to help. I know it' s a new day and I need to look at the results, they are amazing. My back has changed the most I think. I feel just sad and depressed today. I hope this don't last long, I know if I exercise I will feel better, so tonight no Matter what else, I'm committed to exercising. I skipped last night because I felt so crappy and I know that was a mistake. Thanks again for all the support. Ups and DOWNS...I knew they'd come...still sucks when they do!

I hit my goal by my b-day

Thanks to all who supported me through this rough couple of weeks. I had an IUD put in, and had to have it removed after 1.5 weeks...I went up 6lbs on the scale in a week. I couldn't let it affect my first concern...my weightloss! So the day after I had it out, I was back down 3lbs. And tomorrow is my 31st b-day, my goal was to be down 40lbs. I AM THERE! It is crazy, how badly this thing affected me, but I persisted and kept working hard, it obviously paid off. This is different than my past behaviours, I certainly would have thrown in the towel working so hard and to see the scale go up. Anyway 299lbs! UNDER THE 300LB mark and 40lbs down!!! SO HAPPY....and I have the best husband in the world...he bought me the Wii FIT for my b-day...now I can get real serious about this weightloss and keep it fun. Anyway, just wanted to post the update and say thanks to all!

Happy belated b-day, and congrats on hitting your goal! I was curious, was the IUD the only factor in the water retention, or what other things do you find contribute to that as well?

And way to go to your husband for being what sounds like a great support. That is so important.

Cheers!

Water retention

Thanks for the support. But it seems like the water retention for me, was only related to the IUD. It made me hold like 7lbs in a week and a half. Thank God, I got it out quickly but it has still had an impact on my motivation. I seem to be struggling since then. I am trying to get back into my routine, but I've had a hard week with a stomach bug, then over the weekend I had a gallbladder attack. But I'm not out of the game yet. I'm down 41lbs and holding, just got to get myself back on track and keep motivated. I love this site for keeping me on track. Thanks again for the comments. My husband is a support, he isn't trying to lose but he wouldn't do anything to hinder me that's for sure. And the Wii fit, is WICKED!

heya,
i saw your pics in the before/after section and just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on the weightloss and that your doing a fantastic job! wishing you all the best as you get to your goal weight.

i'm now 329pounds and see you started somewhere similar, so it's really motivating for me to see that there will be changes if i stick to this...so far i'm at 20lbs.

and try not to let the water retention thing get to you. just continue on, i don't know why the weighing scale has to control us. i've been eating right and exercising and the last 7days i pretty much weighed in at the exact same weight and on some days a bit higher, i almost burst into tears because i felt i'm working so hard but with no results. but at least today the scale went down a little so i'm glad about that and hoping it keeps on going down. everyday is hard, everyday is a BATTLE...but we just have to keep soldiering on. your doing great girl! WE CAN DO THIS! all the best xoxo

Wow that's an amazing difference! That's definitely a great thing about the beginning of the journey, you feel like you're not stretched to capacity and bloated. It's freeing!
