350 ----> 271 New Member

Hi all,

So im new to the forum just joined today and saw this area. Its really amazing to read and see the success stories a great inspiration. Anyhow I started at 351 back in May/June and today I am happy to say I am down to 271. No i have much more to go to reach my goal of 200 but I'm more than half way there....
 
Thanks! There really is no secret everything people say about eating right and exercise is true. For me i just realized that I needed to get healthier for not only myself but for my new son so the desire and motivation was and still is there. The major changes were what I eat and the gym, I now go to the gym 5 days a week and while i was scared at first and embarassed its now one of my favorite things to do. On top of that I just really try to monitor what i eat about 1800 calories a day very strict during the week and I am less strict on the weekends this keeps it enjoyable and makes it feel less like a diet and more like creating new eating habits. Anyhow the fact is I'm very happy with what I've done so far but still have a long way to go. Thanks for the kinds words.
 
Congratulations on your weight loss so far. I've been going at it a few weeks now and started near the same area you did. I think my starting weight was 353.4. It's nice to see that weight loss can be achieved by someone my size thanks for sharing your story. By the way how much cardio do you do a week if you don't mind me asking?

Dont mind at all as I mentioned i go to the gym 5 days a week now. I do cardio 4 Days for 30 Minutes (15 Before Workout & 15 After) and then I do one cardio day which is about 1 Hour and 15 Minutes of Cardio. Im sure there are other better methods out there but that seems to work for me...

Great job, it definitly shows. It might jsut be cause you were sitting ni the first pic, but the gut looks so much smaller.
