30 day sprint to the 1 year mark

I joined up Dec 30 here at around 403ish. I have noticed that I have really lost focus (starting to sound like a broken record) and my weight creeped up to 358. I do not want to end the year over 350. So it's a mild sprint to 349 by Dec 30. I'm going to take my own advice and start recording my food again. Maybe I just need to remember what I already know.

Today (so far)
1 chicken burrito from Chick-fil-a (420 calories)
diet coke
one small sandwich
small salad with grilled chicken
1 banana
1 greek yogert (120 cals)
Wendy's for dinner (810)

It's easy to lose focus! I think writing it out is a great way - always works for me.
I'm sure you can do it Jericho! Work hard...one day at a time!!:waving:
 
Good luck Jericho. I keep my food diary in a 'draft email' at work and have kinda started looking forward to filling it in each morning, which in turn keeps me in check when I feel like going into a takeout or piling an extra large portion on my plate in the evenings. It's good advice indeed- and it works, eh.

Hope you hit the end of the year target!

Today has been an odd day since I took the day off.

1 slice of homemade banana bread
Chinese buffet
Wendy's salad without the extra nuts (those packs add close to 110 calories on their own)

Ok let me explain the buffet cause it is better than it looks. This is a higher end place. I started with a bowl of freshly created noodles and miso followed by some sushi and items from the buffet itself. I kept a better handle on it, with only one trip up and most of the items non-fried proteins. I could see the bottom of the plate and my dinner tonight is a salad so I am feeling ok with it.

Well, haven't eaten just yet since I just woke up. I'm have a bit of the sniffles with a purring black cat on my chest. I had checked my weight this morning and was pretty shocked.

I'm not counting that as official cause it could be different factors that has me 4.4 pounds less already but it still a lot nicer to see than close to 360.

Ok, now I'm eating..

small sandwich of a bit of chicken, cheese, tomato, spicy mustard and bacon. When I say small, it is about the size of my palm.
Wendy Spicy Chicken sandwich and Apple Pecan salad (without nuts and only one packet) - 830 total
3 chicken strips and a little spicy mustard

Wow that's a really good reading considering you had Chinese food the other day and that would have added a lot of salt to your system! keep it up Jericho!!
 
I've been seeing so much recording of food intake, exact exercises recorded, etc. in people's diaries around here, and it makes me want to try it again.
Not even necessarily here, but just in general, for accountabilty's sake.

Buenas suerte on hitting that end-of-the-year goal.
 
Congrats on getting back on track. I stopped recording my food intake a few months ago and only put on a couple of lbs but now want to start losing again. My problem is that I have got out of the habit of weighing my food and writing it down so I start off well in the morning and then forget as the day goes on. Maybe I need to start going to WW meetings again. I really would like to lose the last 15lbs.
 
Hey Jericho, glad to see you are refocusing and have a nice Go-get-em target for the end of the year. Don't be too hard on yourself though - 50lbs in 12 months is one heck of an achievement....roll on the next 12 months I say!
 
annd just found out a hour ago that I have been terminated from my job.

Great test for not stress eating huh.....:(
 
Sorry to hear about your job. That really sucks. Life has a way of kicking us to the curb.
Hang in there and try not to stress eat. (easier said than done). I hope you have some better days ahead.

For obvious reasons right now, it is a fight not to turn to comforting foods. I feel like I am going the other way with it, which is just as bad.

1 chicken sandwich
1 pineapple greek yogurt
3 chicken strips

then we went to Mcdonald's..
2 cheeseburgers, half a medium fries, half a mcflurry, diet coke.

We shared a lot of things and I hardly ate during the day. I don't feel bad about it. I could have went way overboard the way I'm feeling.

I need to eat..

Day 26

Good morning. Got a head cold but outside of that I feel good about things at the moment.

1 slice of banana bread heated with butter.

Lunch was a salad created with a homemade asian chicken salad. Chicken, celery, hosin sauce, ginger, salt, pepper, saradin (can't remember the name, it is an asian chili sauce), honey, orange peel, butter and pretzels (for texture). Only a bowlful

quarter pounder with cheese, fries.
