3 months in, 26 lbs down!

Well, I have to say that I am a little disappointed with the way this month's pics turned out - I was kind of expecting a huge, dramatic difference considering I have lost nearly 10 pounds. The pics really don't show much of a difference though... You be the judge! I still have quite a bit of belly blubber, but my clothes are fitting much better and most are even too big now! I have gone from a size 14 to a size 8 since the end of March:hurray:

And from the front:

Thanks for all the help and encouragment so far - this forum rocks!!

I definitely see the difference! Everything just keeps tightening up, you look fabulous! And you don't seem to be losing unproportionately up top either, you're so lucky. Sure hope when I get my weight down my chest sticks around too, lol. You look great and ty for posting the pics to inspire the rest of us

i can see the diffrence in your stomach, it's getting alot more tone!
You are doing a great job! Keep it up, and thanks for sharing your journey with us. It really keeps me motivated ; }

LOL thanks!! I am still nursing my baby though, so they could disappear yet:smilielol5:

Thanks! The only problem with the nursing is my little one seems to prefer one side, so I have one semi-normal looking boob and one hangy sac with a huge nipple! LOL. Hopefully it will correct itself... I don't recall this being a huge issue with my first daughter though.

:seeya:Well done! The difference is easy to see! And I know how hard it can be to really focus on getting healthy/losing weight with littles around to keep you busy and tired.

Keep up the GREAT work!

LOL!!! My second was (is still, I guess) the exact same way - especially first thing in the morning. Sometimes I have to change shirts a few times to find one where you can't tell I'm totally lop-sided. Although some day soon, I'll be back to my AAA cup size (I always say mine go backwards from A like batteries).

I agree with pp... you can definitely tell a difference!

Oh my god...that is amazing. You are so inspiring because I would like to lose about 25 pounds by the time I go on vacation which is in 3 months and 7 days!!! Do you mind sharing what you did to lose this weight? I tried finding a diary but I couldn't find one! I am amazed by this!! I hope I can do this too. I hope you don't tell me you cut all of your carbs out or something hard like that lol!! Please share!

AMAZING JOB!!!!

You look GREAT!

Oh I'm so jealous. My boobs went from a C cup to an A cup, you are still in proportion and you look lovely. Your waist is tiny!!

You look like you've done some serious toning as well as losing the weight. Way to go, you look incredible!

That looks like a much more dramatic loss than 26 lbs. There's quite a difference in tummy reduction from 151 to 125. Great job!

Thanks for all of the compliments and encouragement! What did I do? A few things, but the most important (I think) was cutting out night eating and really moderating my junk intake. I am a bit of a chocolate addict and now treat myself to a little square per night instead of the whole bar (my dh can get away with it, but I can't). I zig zag calories which really seems to speed things up. I eat a lot of fresh food. I started pureeing veggies and making sauces that way, using much less milk, cheese etc. I change up my exercise routine frequently. I walk instead of drive when possible, take the stairs instead of the elevator, those kind of little things. I drink a TON of water! I used to always drink tea with honey, juice, pop etc. Now I limit those.

I take Relora and Maca Root aka Peruvian Ginseng (not weight loss pills, but they do seem to help with that, an added bonus! They are supplements I started taking to aide with post partum depression and they help regulate my mood). I also take PGX fibre with some of my meals to provoke earlier satiety.

I take Omega 3 capsules, Vitamin B complex tablets, and multivitamins daily.

I do seem to have hit a bit of a plateau, and have even gained a couple of pounds since I posted this, so it is definitely getting harder! I am not worried so much about the weight now as I am about toning and shaping up. I still have that stubborn belly fat to deal with :ack2:

Thanks again and good luck to everyone!

I am just starting my weight loss journey. you are an amazing inspiration. i am thick in my tummy mostly, and the difference in your stomach is very dramatic!! WAY TO GO!! THANKS FOR THE MOTIVATION

Well done on your loss.
Have you noticed that you have a bit of a 'sway' back (the lumbar part curves more than usual)? Women get it during pregnancy and it often stays around. I used to have this, and it means that your tummy will stick out more, and that you won't be using your tummy muscles as much throughout the day. Try tucking your hips under so that your back is straighter. It feels a bit strange at first, and it does make your tummy look flatter from the front on view if you're sticking your butt out...but it doesn't work well in the long term.

Anyone can look sexy with the right posture!

Pilates (especially planks), bridge pose, cat/cow posture from yoga, and salsa/belly dancing all help to engage those tummy muscles and give you a nicer body shape and a healthier back.

Yes, I have always had a curvature of the spine, which was only exacerbated by two pregnancies. I do see a chiropractor and do the recommended exercises. Unfortunately, the curve is "fixed" meaning not flexible and isn't remedied simply, if at all. I have a lot of back pain due to that.
