Hi everybody!! I am new to this site. Although, I have been lurking for some time. It has been very motivating to see everyone's progress!

My story:

I was active in high school and college. After I graduated college I moved to Japan with my husband. I taught English for a year and a half. During that time I was pretty lazy...

After we returned I got pregnant and had my son. When my son was 6 months old I tipped the scale at 249! I was tired of being fat, so I joined weight watchers. I lost 50 pounds, with no exercising. I hit a plateau. So, I quit weight watchers. I wasn't ready to start exercising yet.

I stayed at 200 pounds for about 5 months. Then, a friend got me into Zumba. It was on from there. I joined the gym December 26. Since then I've been working out 5-6 times a week. I do weights class, Zumba, step aerobics, kickboxing, run, and work out in the gym. I just ran my first 5k two weeks ago!!

Since I started at the gym I have lost 37 pounds! I would like to loose 15-20 more pounds. I am 5'6.

Here are some pics.

You look fantastic!. I started at 240. I'm 179 and I can't wait for my 1st 5k. Congrats Thanks for sharing your photos!

Congradulations! You look great.

Seeing your face in the second picture made me think of that song by the Ying Yang Twins called Git It. ( ).

MASSIVE Congratulations to you for losing all that weight! What an achievement :) You look fantastic!!! And you are a real motivation to me.

At the moment, I look exactly the way you do in your "before" picture :( But hopefully some day I might look as good as you do in the second pic. It's good to know that it actually IS possible to do - as sometimes I wonder if I'm just fooling myself.

Anyways, just wanted to say well done! And you look great :):)

Great job...look at you go! And I gotta say, that's a pretty good running picture for your first time! I have a hard time not looking like I'm dead in them. lol :)

You look great! If you had told me you had lost more than 100 pounds I would have believed you! You have done amazing!
