24 y/o male's quest from 270 to 190

Congrats on the weight loss!! I cheated yesterday too (mostly wine). I think your body needs that once in a while. I think it helps fend off the plateaus that come now and then. It is hard to say no to friends... but, I am lucky... I don't drink beer and that is almost always what is around. It is gross.

Have another good day! I have to go to the gym to make up for my blunders.

Haha, thank you for your kind words. Wine is good for your heart though!

I have to find time to work out. I've been walking and such, but really getting down and dirty should do wonders!

Well, yesterday was fun. I went to a company picnic. I did my best to avoid temptation, but I ended up eating freely. Some ribs, chicken, a few cookies, salad, and two rootbeer floats!

I plan on fasting today and working out to even things out.

Update: Been busy at work, haven't been eating great, but I haven't been eating over 2000 calories ... so I should maintain progress. We'll see how I'm doing Saturday!

I am addicted to the scale and diet soda...

I find myself drinking waaaay too much soda -- I may lose weight, but it will be because I can't chew food. From today on, no more soda!

I have to stop stepping on the scale every five minutes. It gets frustrating!

Lol... I have been stepping on the scale multiple times a day as well. It is interesting to see, but I think I am going to have to put it away (out of site out of mind) so I can wait until Friday's to do my official weigh-in.

The soda is bad! Just say no! I have never been a soda drinker, so I can't really help out on tips for that.

Have a great day!

Blah, it has been a while since I've posted. As a result of the holidays and much excess, I am over 285.

My New Year's Resolution? To come on here each day and have positive news. Here I go :)

I would never be able to handle a party like that. French Fries are my weakness, especially if they're deep fried. One thing that I found that helps the temptation is 100 calorie packs. The 100 calorie little debbie brownies are really good and so are the hostess 100 calorie snack cakes.

I believe part of my weight gain is due to a personal tragedy in my life

I've been going through some type of personal tragedy of some sort or another for literally as long as I can remember. Broken hearts, depression, oppression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, a stay in a mental hospital for 11 days, you name it I've probably dealt with it or been through it or at least something close to it. But I've learned that nothing we go through or experience can take our dreams from us. I believe "hope" is without a doubt the strongest force in the world because in my experience, literally nothing can take that from us.

Your weight loss goal is similar to my own, I'm six feet tall and trying to from 281 lbs down to 195 lbs. Best of luck to you buddy.
