Here it is, my diary of weight loss!

Name: Dan
Age: 29
Current Weight: 225lbs
Goal Weight: 185lbs

Well, today is the offical start of my journey to loose weight. I used to be in great shape before a major car accident. I have packed on quite a few pounds since then, but now that I am healed it is time to get started on the road to health again!
 
What I have done today:

Ran 2 miles!

Ate smart!
10AM: half a bagel and 1 glass of skim milk
12PM: Steamed Veggies and southwestern rice
2PM: Garden Salad w/balsamic vinegar
4PM: Fresh steamed broccoli

Thats all for now
 
Great so far! My only question is are you getting enough calories? Your meal doesn't seem like all that much.

I kinda agree with Jericho...looks like what you're eating is filling...but I'm wondering if your calories are sufficient?

Are you tracking calories at all?

Sorry for the slow reply!

I am getting calories at dinner! My wife cooks a very good dinner every night. Last night we had a mushroom tortellini with cheese filling. It was very good!

And no, I am not tracking calories. I am just eliminating fast food and replacing it with healthy vegetable based meals and starting to work out again!
 
Today I got out and ran 2 more miles... 6 total since the start!

I ran an average of a 10.5 minute mile.... Not the best, but not as bad as it could have been!
 
Well done on your run, I agree with the others above your calories look a bit light on even taking your wifes cooking into account (depending on portion size), In particular your protein levels look very low.
