I very, very much admire your decision not to dwell on the past.
I think plenty of people in general (as well as plenty of people on this site, at least at some point in their weight loss journey), have let dwelling on their past difficulties slowly sway them back into bad habits.
I too am a glass-half-empty individual who, only a few short months ago, was mortified by the idea of going to the gym and sweating to death on an elliptical while a bunch of toned gymaholics made it look effortless.
That's really not how it is, and not how it should be, and I know that now.
