<200 by EOY

Not drinking will help. Just remember that you will be a lightweight by new years so pace yourself! .2 is a loss so congratulations! Hopefully <300 comes quickly for you.

Like Quercus said a loss is a loss the scale moving in the right direction ...Congrat!!!!

Good idea on going Vegan, I am working my way back to that slowly, I am diner for my familly and I try to make something similar for myself so that I can prep both meals at the same time!! I too think giving up in my case it`s wine would help but those sneaky liquid calories!!!

Thanks veronique! yes that is how it is here...i cook two meals most often or sometimes i make my dinner a side for my husbands and son's dinner lol I cant remember the name of the personal trainer but he said something that made a lot of sense....even now with being vegan what i eat in an entire day is like what i used to eat at one sitting so I should lose weight even with drinking alcohol because my drink is probably abt 250 cals...what the personal trainer said is that alcohol actually affects the way your liver processes things so while it is working on ridding your bloodstream from alcohol it is not burning fat as it normally would. The scale seems to indicate this being the case because i lost another pound since i stopped drinking. The only problem is the major i am working on now bores me to no end so it is extremely difficult for me to do homework sober...it is like torture. I can't wait until i am done with this degree and resume my studies in physics. I have a lot of homework and i have been trying to stave off drinking and just deal with the boredom in full.

I wasn't intending a pun. "Lightweight" was the nicest term I know for someone that can't drink much. "Cheap date" as a wildly inappropriate term seemed wildly inappropriate.

So what are you studying and what do you do in physics? Is this a second degree? Can I ask you unanswerable questions related to physics despite my inability to comprehend any of the responses? What's your stance on men wearing corduroy pants (kind of a dark rust color)?

Hey Xe

I used to drink a lot on Friday nights cause my husband was always sleeping on the couch and I was stuck at home alone, I was so bored!!!

You probably won't even remember asking me this but I remember how many times I logged in and attempted a reply and it was so long and KAPUT....time out LOL you would think I would have copied and pasted after the first several times. ha. Astrophysics is my first degree and I am majoring in IT simultaneously. LOL at asking me unanswerable questions! Yes sure you can...but if I answer them, however incorrect, i will magically make them answerable. Dark rust corduroy pants...not with a white shirt I hope!

And Veronique sorry I disappeared and didn't reply as well :) I got terribly busy and was under a lot of stress and fell off track. Went up to 312.6 :(( and was upset for the longest while because it just seemed I could not get back under 300. FAILED at being a vegan, and although I was a successful vegan for so long, I just can't do it now and I realise I just need to stick to eating foods I love and count calories.

Ok so update with me. I fell off track really hard towards the end of last year and kept trying to pick up but couldn't really stick with anything. I changed jobs and started experiencing what felt like inner hip pain. It was sporadic...then in the beginning of April it started to hurt more severely and then one week into April I woke up in the worst pain ever...and to this date i still have the same degree of pain severity if not medicated. The doctors are changing up my pain management regimen SO I am in for a pretty wild ride I think...but I guess we will see how it goes. It is still not certain what the exact cause is, but all doctors believe that my weight is playing a major role in this because it is clear from the pain patterns that it involves my lower back. I gotta tell ya--pain is a great motivator LOL I am staying on track and have been doing well so far. I finally made it out of the 300's and am 299.6 :D I'll take it! Like i said i went up to 312.6 recently so this is a really good loss for me and i think i have found something that will work for me.
