20 rep squat, TOMORROW

So tomorrow I'm beginning 20 rep squat routine.

Here's what I have planned to do

20 rep squat
20 pullovers
3x10 shoulder press
3x8 (that's as many as I can do) pullups

and next time i'll do
20squat
20pullovers
3x10bench
3x10 BO row

My question is, how much time should i leave between the pullovers and shoulder press/bench?

As much as you need. Its just 1x20 squats?

is there any point to 1x20 squats i dont get it or is it just shock tactics???

1x20 squats are suppose to be done with your 10rm, so the last 10 reps will be VERY hard, it will be treated more like sevral singles without racking the bar between them. I don't know if that's how AZN does them though.

i get it put that way
sound pretty tough then

You get 20 the first time with your 10 rm, it's hard as hell and you have to wait a long time between reps with the bar on your back, which can be hard in itself.

I did not start with my 10 rep because I thought if I did that and I had to add 5 pounds each time I'd burn out so I started with sometihng lighter instead. It isn't necessarily 10 rep and a bunch of singles, they're breathing squats so you take deep breaths after each one, the ones at the end simply require more. You don't have to start out bustin out 10 reps without breath. Not to my knowledge anyway.

Karks was right. You take your 10RM, and you do 20 reps with it. You'll hit the first 10, and then you'll start workin' on singles.

this is a very anticipated journal iv been waiting one of us to make, dave.
let my strength be with you when the squats get tough...its more mental.
i know you wont give up though....this will do you wonders :]
i will follow this log and eventually do this routine. good job choosing to do it.

how has this been working for you?

I am not really understanding how you are suppose to do 20 reps in one set with your 10 REP MAX... it doesn't make any sense. What types of break are you taking to allow you to do it?

Have you read up on it? It's fairly simple...you take your 10 RM and do 10 reps. Then you do 10 singles without racking the bar. It might take 2 seconds or 10 seconds between reps. But the idea is not to rack the bar before doing 20.

sorry for bringing up an old thread but i figured it would be better than starting a new one, although i will start a journal when i begin the program.

my question is though, is the program more developmental of the lower body, than the upper? i know that it is apparently supposed to spurt growth all over the body, but like how would the ratio be of muscle gained?

what i mean is would it be like 4/1 of weight gained towards the lower than upper? (example)

would a split of fb be more benificial towards developing the upper? or can i still gain an adequate amount of muscle on the upper body during this program?

i will begin this program this coming monday, and after 6 weeks, i will revert back to my fb

just some questions tho.....

thanks guys
