20 pounds or BUST!

Here I am again, on the diet yo yo. I was only 5 pounds from my goal weight and I gained back. So now I am wieghing in at 140 pounds this morning. This is my third diary on this forum, third times a charm... right?... right!

Tomorrow is the first day of my vacation at work and I wont return back until 8-6, and I am soooooo looking forward to it.

First things first. I have an agenda. Currently I am at 140 pounds, and my goal weight is 120 (secretly I would love to get down to 115 as the lowest).

Goals
Calories = 1500 cals per day
Water intake = 3 Liters minimum
Fiber = 24 grams (I have a problem with constipation)
Exersice = atleast 1 hour per day X 6 days per week (burn atleast 400 cals)
Weight loss = 1 to 2 pounds per week

ready, set, go......

I ate really healthy today. I am keeping a hard copy food journal so that I can see my cals and fiber intake, as well as what I am eating. Keeping a journal really does help you stay straight and pick better foods. I tried a fiber bar and it was really good. I am gonna hafta get me some more of them at the store today.

My day consisted of oatmeal, milk, activia, fruit, lean gourmet frozen dinner, peas, potatoes, one salisbury steak, and a small bowl of raisin bran.

Calorie intake = 1420
Fiber intake = 24 g
Water intake = 80 oz
Exercise = Friday's are my rest day

Calories = 1340
Fiber = 20 g
Water = 80 oz
Exercise = Heavy house cleaning for 1 hour, light house cleaning for 1 hour (according to calorie-counter, 191 cals for heavy, and 159 for light = 350 cals in excersice)

Fiber = 21 g
Water = 80 oz
Exercise = Push mowed the yard 1 1/2 hours with a mulcher/bager (burned 520 cals)

And thanks again Cind... I know I cannot maintain my weight without this darned forum, looks like I am going to have to be a lifer. I will definately check out the challenge.

That makes 2 of us - even when I break for a bit and eat outta control or wahtever it may be - Im still here supporting and posting in my diary - sadly enough I dont think I will be going anywhere:eek2: :hug2:

Calories = 1270
Fiber = 23 g
Water = 100 oz

Exersice: 842 cals burned
2 Hours = Stained and sealed my deck 1/2 by paint brush and 1/2 by sprayer
(used on calorie counter washing/painting fence 1 hr - 286 cals) = 472
45 minutes on the treadmill on Weight Loss mode level 5 = 370
 
I weighed myself this morning! 137. YAH. You know I think that I have to give the credit for that to all the fiber that I have been eating. Here is the TMI part - I would go a week or more without a BM, now atleast every day :). It has been making me feel so much better.

That staining my deck yesterday has me sooooooooooooo sore.

Any way... I get to move my ticker... YAY!!!!
 
Ok gotcha - LOL - hat are you eatign that is fiber base just anythign or ?

I thought about using fiber supplements but I wanted to try to increase my fiber through food first.

Bran flakes! Bran flakes, Bran flakes!!!

Lots of food has fiber in it, just more in some then others. I also eat the fiber bars like, Marathon Snicker, or GNU Flavor and Fiber bars. You just have to be careful on the bars, some of them have loads of calories. I try to eat the ones that are 150 cals or less.

I found a site that recommended 24 g of fiber a day for someone my age, height, and energy level. So that is what I shoot for.

Calories = 1380

Exercise = 3 miles on gazelle (250 cals burned = not sure if that is right but it is what the machine said)
I wonder if the 20 minutes I spent this morning with my husband should count. I did all the work, so it should. hehe. I wonder how many cals that is burned. I looked, 83 cals an hour. I know I worked harder then that! Thats crap. 16 cals for 20 minutes...that is BS.
Went swimming today for about 30 minutes, but I mostly coasted on the floaty. Then my daughter got stung on the cheek by a bee. She freaked out and I had to pull the stinger from her face. What an ordeal. She is much better now and it doesnt hurt anymore. The trip to CVS paid off :)

Tomorrow is day 3 off of work. I am trying to decide what I want to do tomorrow. I know I getting up early and going to the Y. But the rest of the day is up in the air.

Water = 100 oz
Exercise = 45 minutes on treadmill, Level 5 in Fat loss mode (320 cals burned)

Calories = 940 (Crazy, I ate a ton of stuff today, but it was mostly all healthy low cal stuff)
Fiber - 21 g
Water = 150 oz (It was darn hot today)

Exersice = I was busy today! 802 cals
1- Took my daughter to the local pool today for 2.5 hours. I leisurely swam for 1 hour and laid out in the sun for the rest of the time = 382 cals
2- Went to the Y, Treadmill at 4.0 for 15 minutes, 1 mile = 100 cals
3- Eliptical 30 minutes, 2 miles, 30 minutes = 320 cals

Cant wait to weigh in the morning :)
