thanks evryone for encouraging words! Yeah I'm glad I did take that step towards healthy body. Initial 2 months were difficult, I gave up many times. Then gradually accepted myself they way I am, the way my body is. I accepted that my metabolism is slower than others. I cant stay thin by eating anything and doing no excercise. My hubby is like that, so it used to make me so uncomfortable that He never gained weight inspite of the fact that he eats more junk than I do & doesnt excercise. I accpeted later that Thats how I am genetically built and I better do something towrds it, I ytried everything. I did weight watchers for first 2 months, which was quite motivational! Then I got tooo busy to continue it, I started daily walks. I used to walk 3-5 miles everyday.
I started losing weight. I remember, the first time I lost 5 lbs, I couldnt believe it. I was 176 from 181, & I was jumping. Then 172, then 166 then 160 then 155..
My goal is 140.
I never did crash dieting. I left white rice thats it. besides that I pretty much ate everything, including ice creams, Chips, chocolates and cakes once in a while. Also due to my job I have to eat out frequently. So I started choosing salads over mashed potatoes & fat free dressings.
One thing I never could leave were bananas. Cos I love bananas.
Did I mention this I tried Alli, the weight loss pill. Complete waste of time. I returned the bottle in 1 week. Donot get tempted to shortcuts. Go the harder way. Its the best way!
