20 lbs before the wedding or bust...

umm.. good - can i remember back that far? I had 2 hot dogs for lunch, then mcdonalds for dinner (traveling!)

I was at my grandparents for a wedding this weekend - tons of food, tried to be good, but we'll see tomorrow how much I paid for it all.

*sigh* this is the season for weddings! We are going to another one this weekend, all the way back in Iowa again!

well, I haven't been able to really lose any weight... after weighing myself this morning, i'm back up to 152 =( hard core for three weeks and then I'm home for our wedding... ick!

definately not lost inches =( I almost couldn't fit into a dress I wore to a wedding this weekend...

Last week was rough - way too much work, way too many lunch meetings - way too little exercise - plus another wedding weekend on top of it!

I basically have three weeks until my wedding. If I kick it in high gear, I could lose at least 5 lbs, be under 150 and hopefully fit into my dress just fine! SO - here we go.

bkfst: cheerios w/ banana & skim milk (275)
lunch: turkey on wheat (240) + apple sauce (50) + cheese stick (80) + pretzels (30)
snack: ff fig newtons (200)
dinner: 1 burger (370) + 1 sloppy joe (250) + corn (100) + grapes (60) + french fries (150)+ beer (120)

total cals: 1725
h2o: 32
exercise: -

You can do it! Three weeks is a lot of time for 5 pounds! I know if you stay focused you can do it! Maybe put a picture of yourself that you don't like somewhere where you'll see it, lol. Remind yourself why you're doing this? I only do that if I need EXTREME motivation, but it does help me make better decisions ;)

man - i was starving when I got home - so dinner was huge and didn't have to be =( one sandwich would have been plenty!

I got up today and ran however... which was so hard, but feels so good now that I'm done... I'm also walking to and from work today (I took the pledge that I would use alternative transportation at least one day a week!) so - that's something!

bkfst: cheerios (150) + orange juice (100)
lunch: turkey on wheat (240) + cheese stick (80) + grapes (60)
dinner: pizza (?) + 2 beers (240)
snack: 2 beers (240) + popcorn (500) =(

total cals:
h2o: 16+ 24 + 20
exercise: 30 min run/walk + 20 min walk to work

Great for you with walking to work! That is such a good thing to do an will easily just become a routine for you!! Eek! I know what it's like to eat when starving, it's really something I try to avoid by having a granola bar in my purse at ALL TIMES - but of course that doesn't always work ;)

Sounds like you're doing well so far today! Keep it up!

eek! I really need to stop drinking beer and other alcohols... i know its summer and it tastes really good - but if I want to lose these few pounds, that is going to be a major step. No more for a couple of weeks! (until the bachelorette party and wedding!)

bkfst: egg on 1 slice wheat (140)
lunch: turkey sandwich on wheat (240) + grapes (60) + bbq chips (150)
dinner: jamaican black beans w/ butternut squash (200?) + 1 c rice (240) + cornbread (175) + salad (100) + wine (90)
dessert: homemade apple crisp (250?) + vanilla frozen yogurt (100)

total cals:1745
h2o: 16 + 24 + 16 + 16
exercise: 40 min run/walk

Alcohol in the summer is killer - BUT if you're home when drinking it, get those flavoured water bottles and add vodka - then your drink itself has no calories, just whatever is in the vodka - and they're good :)

good advice =) I did have a glass of wine with dinner.. but drank water the rest of the night. I was totally dehydrated yesterday - ran outside when it was too hot!

bkfst: cheerios w/ skim (150)
lunch: fruit (75) + turkey/bacon/sauce on pita thingy (300?)
snack: granola bar (100) + chex mix (240)
dinner: chicken and rice (330) + mixed veggies (130) + a fruity drink (250)

total cals: 1575
h2o: 24 + 16 +
exercise: 45 min walk/run

Looks great katie!! how'd the rest of your day go???

How much more time do you have till the big day?

yesterday wasn't too bad... this whole not drinking alcohol thing is totally not working - last night my fiance and I decided just to empty a few of our bottles that had a shot or less left in them... b/c we are moving tomorrow and its silly to move that kind of stuff. So I made a quick concoction with the rest of our grapefruit juice, some diet 7-up, and tequila... very nice!

i'm really frustrated by the scale... I actually gained a pound! I'm back up to 153.5! ack!!!! I feel great and I've been working out hard the past few days, but i'm just not balancing out my food well enough. grr

bkfst: cheerios (160)
lunch: turkey sandwich, grapes, some chips (I've been really boring lately!) (450ish)
dinner: chicken and rice w/ peas (400ish)

h2o:
exercise:

wow, congrats!

I was just skimming through this and noticed.. oh god aren't you bored of cheerios by now??

Here's my breakfast: (you need a blender.. it's totally worth it though!)

1 serving (50 berries, 2.4 oz) of frozen blueberries (or raspberries or whatever you fancy)
that's: calories: 39, protein: 0.5, fat: 0.2, carbs 9.9

150 g of Colombo's NonFat Plain Yogurt.
(that's about 4 or 5 oz, I think. Dannon or Stonyfield's nonfat yogurts are also good, but Colombo's has the lowest calories and creates a nice consistency) btw I don't like plain yogurt, but you really don't taste it here.
calories: 66, protein: 6.6, fat: 0.0, carbs: 10.6

200 mL (about 7 fl.oz) of 8th Continent Light chocolate Soymilk
(8th continent's light chocolate soymilk is significantly lighter than the Silk brand version!)
calories:76, protein: 5.1, fat: 1.3, carbs: 11.0

in total:
calories 181, protein: 12.2, fat: 1.5, carbs: 31.4

and if you add 40g of Kashi GoLean cereal, the total is:
calories: 289, protein: 22.2, fat: 2.3, carbs: 54.5

imo, this is the best breakfast ever.

(edit for number accuracy, sorry, I got confused. they are correct now :p )
