160 to 125 before and after

katie!! thats awesome! ur looking great!
and by the way... we have the same weight loss tickr, our start weights are nearly the same... AND so are our goals :D im way behind you though, right now. can u give me some tips? im finding it extremely hard to get started properly :(

All I can tell you is what worked for me at the time:

Burn 500 calories a day (work until you're drenched with sweat!) is what I had to do, no less than 500 (every single day except maybe sundays.)
Eat healthier. Period.
Eat MUCH slower, like have it be a secret contest in your head to be the last person still eating at the table. Small bites, chew like 30 times. I realize your full faster and you end up not eating as much.

Good luck! I know firsthand how hard getting started and following through can be.

That is great advice! Listen to her. It can be that simple depending on how you look at it. Very mature girl for her age. :)

That's great advice- I read somewhere (blanking on where), that if you eat smaller bites and chew your food better, it makes it easier for your stomach to digest and your body to burn off if paired with exercise. I'm not sure the validity of that, as I can't remember the source, but it sounds like it should be true :)

It is fantastic to see that somebody has actually gone and stuck to changing their eating habits. Don't we all know that it works, we just can't get over our "appetites" once they kick in? At least that's my problem.
I know everything there is to know about how to lose weight in a healthy way (and it is through changing your eating habits), but the biggest problem is to actually STICK to it.
Go girl for accomplishing what you have! Have you got any suggestions on what to do when appetite and emotions take over (emotional eater)?

From past episodes I know that if I get on an emotional eating kick I won't stop no matter how good I am about keeping my habbits healthy so what I do if I know or feel it will happen is I hide my wallet (can't buy anything) and make sure in advance nothing unhealthy is even in the house. Pre-preperation is the best thing.
