16 year old weight loss, tone and diet

Im currently 16 years old and am really focused on toning up. During my childhood ive been a chubby kid and now at the age of 16 i admit i am fat but not overly fat. over the past month ive given up soft-drink, eating full meals and haven't eaten anything after 6 o'clock and i have now lost 5kg. I now weight 76kg and my goal is to reach 70kg. I have a treadmill and a Gym set and havnt used them in weeks. While losing weight i also want to tone up my body, not to the full but just a tone up. This is where the question comes in. If i do my Gym Set, at how many kilograms should i lift? and how long a day on all excersies to tone up my body? remembering i don't want to put on much weight on my all muscles. Also because ive got moobs and have love handles, what excersises should i do in aid to losing them? and for how long a day? One main thing im really stuck on, is what are some healthy foods to eat for breakfast? thank you :)

How many kgs should you lift? That depends mostly on the person. Try an amount that you can do for about 10-12 reps without sacrificing form, try doing 3-4 sets. I might be wrong on this but I also believe bodyweight exercises are better in some cases, and easier for some, I mean, you could try doing push-ups, pull-ups, chin-ups, crunches, planks, lunges, squats etc. As to losing your love handles, doing a lot of cardio (you know... running, swimming, other sports etc... stuff that gets your heart going for extended periods of time). I am not much of a nutritionist but just lay off of excessive fats. I am talking fast food, ice cream, cake etc. Eat with moderation and instead of snacking stuff such as cookies or whatever you could snack on carrots and other vegetables. Fruits too though keep in mind for fat losing purposes vegetables are better.

I've heard drinking tea after a meal helps burn fat and stuff.

Ill probably start with 15kgs, and week by week ill add 5kgs to it and ill see how i go, ill also get started with the pushups, pull-ups etc. I rarely eat fast food and ice cream, potato chips, junk food and cake dont really do anything for me either so im lucky about that. Ill start snacking on the vegatables, some nights im just so hungry and scared to eat anything because its unhealthy. Do you know what time is better to do cardio and muscular excersies for weight loss, is it better in the morning? or later in the day after lunch/dinner? and for the push ups, pull ups etc, is that better to do in the morning or later on in the day?

Yeah, Id aim for 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps. Good job staying away from fast food and that stuff, theres a ton of healthy food which also tastes great. People may tell you it doesnt matter when you do cardio and stuff, personally I find in the morning it gives me a great jump on my day(though im generally sluggish in the mornings). For lifting, I'd definitely suggest doing them at night, after a good heavy lift your body releases more hgh, and boosts your metabolism for a little i believe. These are good thing to aid in the repairing of muscles and burning calories. You can work out whenever you find time though, and just gotta stick with it. Diet is the most important thing for losing weight, keep it clean, don't under eat by thousands of calories, keep it nice steady man, it can be a long process

im not expecting results straight away, but i just wanna get a kick on losing weight, so even if it takes awile im not worried, its the final result that matters.. Would you recommend protein drinks? my friend uses it but im not to sure about it. For christmas, my grandparents want to buy me a bench press, is it worth having and good for muscular workouts? and what are some healthy breakfast ideas?

I own a bench press, i love it, if you dont have a gym membership having a barbell and some weights around is always good for doing lifts. Protein drinks are good if your diet doesnt have enough protein, I like using em after workouts or even as a snack occasionally, depending on the brand my protein shake is around 120calories so its fairly healthy. A good idea for a healthy breakfast, Id suggest oatmeal, egg whites, good cereal like kashi go lean, special K red berries is my favorite, crackin oat bran, serve em with skim milk or 2% and it still tastes great. All delicious and healthy.

Some people have said that cardio on an empty stomach help to burn the fat since you have no carbs in your body or something to this degree. I personally like a little food in my stomach otherwise i feel sickly and weak while doing cardio, generally if im trying to lose weight ill have a power bar or a piece of fruit, nothing too big, and no dairy.

Rather than a bench press, which is somewhat limited, ask mom and dad for a bench and dumbbells (preferably up to 50#). These will give you greater flexibility in exercises and are safer than a bench press, especially for a rookie lifter.
