16 weeks goal

hey guys

i am from Scotland and just signed up..

i am currently about 180 pounds i think (12st 12pounds) and i am 17

i want to start working out and flattening my stomach.. as i have started to get a beer belly..

hoping to have lost some by August so about 16 weeks hopefully get my weight down to around 12st (168pounds)

do u think this is a realistic goal?

i plan to do this buy eating healthy.. running everday with 1day rest and doing some sparring with a punch bag

let me know + give me pointers

12 pounds in 16 weeks isn't unrealistic.

right this is my plan

for my warm-up.. just some skipping with a skippin rope to get my pulse levels up.. and do the basic stretching

i plan to start doing some HITT alternative days a week (as i hear it best effective)

whilst including some weight training (around 25-35mins)

I also have a punch bag in my garage i can do 10-15mins of sparring with it

Does this sound good..

my diet consists of this basically

Breakfast : 1x bowl of cornflakes with full fat milk (lol.. think i bettr start with skimmed soon)

Snack: a cheese and chicken baugette (white) with brown sauce (planning to change this to a wholemeal pita bread with just chicken)

Lunch: basically the same.. sometimes with a frozen pasta dish (i know its not good but thats work) i also usually have a fruit pot with this or fresh fruit

Dinner: Usually chicken or a steak or pasta dish with veggie / potatoes

Late-Nite snack : packet of crisps usually ( hopefully switch it for some fruit )

does this sound an okay diet.. if i make the stated ammendments

on this diet and with the stated exercises.. u reckon i could achieve a leaner flatter stomach in 12-16 weeks

Try adding some eggs or some form of protein to your breakfast. What do you mean by "basic stretching?" Static stretching, in my newly found knowledge, should be used at cooldown. Static stretching prepares the muscles for relaxation. Your skipping combined with some arm circles, torso twists, and such should provide you with a good warmup.

yeah suppose.. was just planning on doing a cpl arm stretches etc

but skippin does warm me up very fast

cheers for ur help.. will see aout addin a protein to my breakfast
