So Vegas was a blast! I will post some pictures maybe tomorrow but I forgot the cord for it today. I think I might have even lost a pound while I was there. I mean I drank my face off and ate really well but we walked a lot! My sister had her pedometer on the whole weekend and she almost got up to 30,000 steps a day! My feet are really sore.
I’m also exhausted because we barely slept. Every night we were in bed after 3am and were always up by 8am. The food was amazing but I don’t think I over did it. We hit up a couple buffets but I always filled my plate with the salad bar first and then just went back for a couple extras. The night of my sisters birthday we went to this really nice Italian restaurant and ordered the family style buffet where they brought out so much delicious food! We didn’t have any snacks during the day or late night munchies either and only had 2 meals so I think I did pretty good. The drinks were endless but I tried to stick to vodka and water and not too many sugary drinks.
I got to meet the famous Alta!! It was so surreal to meet up and we had fun – a once in a lifetime kind of trip. Sarah I can’t wait to show you the pics!! We went to a club one night but it was so packed and not really our scene – our feet were all really sore too and we were ready for bed – it was a long weekend.
I didn’t end up winning in the poker tournament but it was fun. I won $250 in the airport waiting for my flight home so that was really exciting to come home with some money.
My hubby had to go out of town this morning so I will continue to miss him but I am SO READY to start getting into a healthy routine and smashing these pounds! I can’t wait to get back to the gym. I packed salad for lunch and brought a yogurt and apple for breakfast. I was 158 on the scale this morning but I know some of it is from salt for sure so I’m not worried about that number. The week before I left I had seen 160 at some point so 158 after vacation is good in my mind. I’m not ready to change my ticker yet though. I’ll see where I stand on Friday. After seeing all the hot bodies in Vegas I’ve decided I want that more than ever and my goal for my honeymoon in March is still my goal date. That’s about 20 pounds and I have 5 months to get there. It is totally doable if I stick to it and stay accountable and consistent. So my goal is to lose 1 pound a week. I’m going to do it the same way as before – lots of gym time, healthy eating – especially Monday to Friday with a couple indulgences on the weekend.
Ok so that’s it for now! I’m feeling great about my plans and goals and I won’t stop till I get there! One day at a time…
