135 Here I Come!!

Gosh, I was freeeeezing while we went camping too! It was like this cold weather just came out of no where! I wish I could have had a lazy day like you after one night of camping but we had to ride horses and continue the drinking the whole next day - it took a lot out of me! I hadn't worked out since Friday either until this morning, so it looks like we are on the same page. Also I didn't have the chance to snack much while drinking because we would pretty much just have a meal then be busy drinking until the next meal so I guess that was sort of good? Lol.. btw that is AWESOME that you get to go out to Vegas!! Have you ever been there before? My mom is planning to take me in May for my 21st birthday with some of my friends :D

This week is going to be good, I know it!!! I think it's something in the air.. this time of the year is making me feel super motivated... or maybe it's just the fact that I really want to buy a new pair of jeans but first I'd like to fit comfortably in my old ones :p I'm looking forward to good news tomorrow and I'll bring some your way too!

Your workouts STILL look great. I could use some oomph right now.. uggh. That cold weather came outta nowhere! I'm sitting in Minnesota one day and the temperature and humidity are so high and horrible that everyone was sweating in ac, and thenext day its so cold I need a friggin jacket. Brr!

Happy Friday! I was off work sick the last two days and I feel like I’ve fallen into a deep, dark hole with no motivation to get out. I got in a 5km run outside Tuesday night and last night but 5km was all I could do. I just didn’t have the energy to keep going and it has me really worried about the half next weekend. I’ve been eating lots of comfort food because hubby has been working and I haven’t felt like preparing myself anything healthy. It doesn’t help that we don’t have any groceries and all we feel like is take out.
Work has me a little stressed because our company is going through a re-org and my work has been piling up the last few days.
I want to pick up some groceries on the way home and stick to mostly salads this weekend. We were supposed to be in golf tourney but it was cancelled so I don’t have anything planned. Hopefully I can get a longer run in outside tonight and maybe hit the gym too. Again I’m working on the motivation because all I really want to do is lie is bed and drink chocolate milk.

Hey there!! I just skimmed through your diary but I think you and I have similar fitness goals (I am very interested in running a half as well). I have run a one 5K race and one 10K race but was never able to keep it up because I never stayed fit long enough. I actually went on a race sign up spreee and signed up for 4 races earlier this year........ including the scotia bank half which is sept 26..... I have only run one of the 4 races (the 10K) and I don't plan on running the half either. I can only run 20 minutes at 5.5 right now which is really tragic. I know I will work my way up. I used to be able to run 5k on the readmill at 7mph (Oh what I would give to be that fit again).

Anyways your doing great! I notice you live in ontario!!! Maybe we can run the mississauga half together??? (Thats the run I am aiming for right now. It's in may so it gives me tons of time to build up my running) Take care!
 
Aw I really hope you get better soon! You're still doing amazing all things considered in my opinion :) And congrats to your sister for winning and how lovely of her to share it! Your motivation is probably having a rest, you've worked it very damn hard you know. It'll be back shortly knowing you! :p
 
Hey Lisa......Wow you are one mean exercise machine.....I am exausted just reading about it! Sorry I haven't around much lately I have missed being on here but have to get into the new routine!! I am glad I got to catch up with you diary and I wish I could be there to cheer you at the finish line when you run your marathon!!! I am thinking of tryint to train for one next year...we will see how busy I am with the kids then!!!! Congrats on all the workout...I am sure the eating will fall back into place now that summer is over and routines are comming back!!
 
Dang, I'm in awe that you can still exercise, especially run(!), when you are sick. Hope you are feeling better now.
 
i hope you are able to pull out of your rut soon!! i hate those. its great that you are running a half marathon :) i have always wanted to run one. i look forward to hearing how it goes. i think i am going to do my first run next month... 5k i think. not far, but a good start :) good luck.

That would be fun but Mississauga is about 18 hours away from where I live - maybe one day though! Keep it up and don't ever look back!

Thanks Veronique! Miss you too. I'm not where I was expecting to be for this half so it is a little disappointing but none the less I'm going to give it my all!

Gosh I hate being in a rut too! Wish I could snap my fingers and be out of it. I think the change in weather has something to do with it too - summer is over :(

Dang I was worse this weekend then last - ended up getting strep throat! Now I'm on medicine so I should be back to good soon!

Ok so a few updates...I was sick again this weekend - this time with strep throat but I'm starting to feel better now that I'm on meds - it's a real downer this happened around my training because I was in a real groove with my runs and then I just didn't get out at all and now I'm stressing a little that I won't do as good as I planned or won't be able to run it all. I've just been feeling down about it lately and need to get some energy and excitement back.
On other news I won't be able to update regularly for the next few months while our company is completing it's re-org. I'm worried they will check my access and think I'm not busy enough to keep my job if they see I frequent here regularily. We got a laptop now though so hopefully soon we will have Internet access at home.
I'm going to update after my half this weekend and hopefully get on once a week or so - when I have good news to post. My hubby is going away for some work out of town so I really think it will give me time to focus on myself and get my confident and positive thinking back. We are really lazy together and when one person feels like snacking it always results in both of us eating. I need to remember what it's like to resist the urge and get my willpower back.
Well I don't have much else to say except I will miss you all so much and look forward to reading your updates when I get a chance. :seeya: Take care and healthy eating!
 
Good luck this weekend. If worse comes to worse maybe break the second half of the run into two 5k's with a 1 mile walk in between? Just do your best and stay relaxed. You'll feel great no matter what your time is.

My wife and I used to be bad for eachother during our dating years but we have really turned it around the last few years. Now we help eachother stay healthy... Most of the time anyways.
 
I am glad to hear some good stories. You have really good motivation and enthusiasm! I hope I will manage to do that too! :)
 
Sorry to hear you won't be around as much. We'll miss you! But your reasons make sense and hopefully you'll get internet at home and can be on here more. Take care of yourself, so you feel better in time for your run. Let us know how it goes if you can.

Hi Lisa - Just wanted to drop by and say again good luck on your half marathon this weekend! Give it all you've got. When you feel like stopping and you don't feel like you can go anymore, just think that you're always one step closer. Think about how far you've come and what you're doing it for - prove it to yourself that you are strong and you will finish strong!!! I can't wait to hear all about it. Try to get in a really good stretch after because the following day I could barely walk!!!
