1200 calories per day

I am mostly starting this diary for some accountability. I have been losing weight fairly well, about 10 lbs per month until recently when I got lazy about writing down what I'm eating and staying low in calories and lost only 4 pounds in the last month. It's really a big struggle for me right now, because the steroid medication I take for asthma makes me extremely hungry.

My maintenance calories right now are about 1850, I figure if I eat 1200 and exercise for 300-400 calories per day (I walk, and do some yoga and resistance exercises) that I will be able to return to losing about 2 pounds per week.


So far today I ate:

1. vegetable soup - 150 calories
2. 3 egg omelette with tomato - 250 calories
3. glass of milk - 130 calories
4. probiotic - 50 calories
5. tea with milk and sugar - 50 calories
6. 2 plums - 100 calories
7. a can of tuna - 120 calories
8. cottage cheese and egg cakes - 400 calories

Total: 1250 calories


Exercise I did: 1.5 hour walk 450 calories
yoga 100 calories


Net: -1150 calories
 
Hey! Always remeber a loss is a loss. Ok so last month you may not have lost as much as you wanted but at least you are losing weight! I would sugesst trying to get more fresh fruit and veg in during the day if you can! XSM
 
So, it's only 7.30 and I already went over my calorie limit :(

I had:

1. cottage cheese 200 calories
2. buckwheat 300 calories
3. tea x 3 with milk and sugar 150 calories
4. fish 250 calories
5. rice 150 calories
6. veggies 100 calories
7. fruits 150 calories
8. yogourt 150 calories

Total: 1450 calories

I did about an hour of walk for 300 calories, and I will do another hour later today to get up to 600 calories and a net result of -1000 calories to keep on track for 2 pounds a week.

I just have to not eat any more today, which I think will be quite hard for me. I think this is because of the medicine I am taking, which has simply made me ravenous even after I should be full.

Yeah, I should really eat more veggies. I guess I'll try doing that tomorrow, maybe it will fill me up better.

I have such intense cravings for real food (essentially fatty meats, fish, and carbs like pasta). I am thinking of just not coming home until very late to be away from the temptation of food.


I know I should really cut the grains out of my diet, but I just don't have the willpower right now. It's pretty depressing because until I got on this medicine I was managing hunger quite well.

Probiotic: 50 calories
Half of a bread: 50 calories
Chicken liver: 400 calories
Coffee: 50 calories

Total so far: 850

bread 100

Walk 1.5 hours: 450 calories
Yoga + resistance: 100 calories


Haven't weighed myself in a few days now, don't want to get on the scale until I've been on a good diet for a few days...
