105 Pounds lost, 40-50 to go

OMG. awesome ! I hovered around 278 after my first son , so I know exactly how you feel. Its great you did it!! I felt like I was in a fog for a while and when I realized I had to do something it was just so awesome to see progress. I am sure you are feeing wonderful.. good job!

I go to the gym 6 days a week, sometimes 7!! and I follow weight watchers guidelines.. anyway about your slowing down in the weight loss. Yes plateaus.. I had those for a couple months and I discovered I sometimes wasn't eating enough, eating the same things all the time and maybe exercising too much, and I had to change my routine at the gym, really look at what and when I was eating (I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks at every third hour. I also don't eat after 6:30, but I usually workout at night so I will have half a protein bar or some peanut butter and skim milk after. Anyway I broke the plateau, and am on a roll again. You just have to change things up!! You can do it!

Thanks everyone! I'm still hanging in there. I was almost sad yesterday when I realized my favorite skirt is getting too big. Almost. LOL

You know you are losing weight when you get pulled over and the sheriff says while he's getting your info, "Oh, and you look nothing like your license." Time to go get a new license I think. ;)

Hello :)

Your absolutely right, we can do this without our PTs. Its time for us to get our there and be on our own. Kinda scary but I'm sure you, just like me learned so much from your trainer. I feel blessed to have had him because it has totally changed the way I think of working out and will influence the way I structure my workouts when I'm without him.

Your befores and afters look great. I like your hair in your after pics, such a pretty red.

Good luck on the rest of your journey and hope to see more pics when your reach your next goal.

Hells yeah! lol As much as I enjoy not having to do quite as much thinking, it's getting too damn expensive. Yep I have learned lots, though I think the biggest thing that he did was get through to me that I needed to change the diet a lot more than I had before. Before I started losing I was trying for 6 months and had lost only 5 pounds (those 5 pounds were only cause I was in the hospital and hardly eating). Other than that, I don't feel like a COMPLETE idiot when I'm at the gym, acting like I know what I'm doing. Thanks! :D Believe it or not I used to hate the color of my hair. Now it is the thing I get complimented on the most. Good luck to you too, but we don't need luck, right? :)

I just realized you have lost 105 lbs in one year! That is so fantastic and inspirational! You look wonderful-so young!

Fantastic job, MelanieAnn! Not only are you an inspiration to the visitors of this site, you are quite the role model for your children! Well done. Keep up the good work!

WOW! You have done such an amazing job! You look like a brand new person! You don't have very far to go at all - and should be so proud of all you have accomplished! You are an inspriation!

Wow....I know everyone else has been saying it but WOW...what an awesome difference. Thank you SO much for posting. Seeing photos of somebody else who has been able to lose that much weight is so inspiring. If I can get down to the weight you are I'll be ecstatic!

Oh and you're pics are so cute...you are really pretty :)

Thank you. :) There's no "if" about it, you can and will do it! I myself had doubt, but it honestly isn't as hard as you would think. The hard part is self-control, for me anyway. Thanks again. :D

So, I've been pretty much stuck for the past 3 months. I was starting to get into a cycle of binging over the weekend. I addressed the problem, and have been back at it, strict with my calories for the past 2 weeks. I finally lost 2 pounds and am at 175. I also got my measurement chart from my trainer, and took them myself last week. Since last June I've lost...

12 inches from my chest
11 inches from an inch above waist
16 inches from an inch below waist
17.5 inches from my hips
2.25 inches from left thigh
5.5 inches from right thigh (why such a big difference?? lol)
8.75 inches from the shoulder width
2.5 inches from the neck

Wow, now hopefully I can keep losing for a while and not get stuck for a long time. I am hanging in there.

Thanks. :) Since progress has been so slow lately I decided I need to focus on a different goal. Sooo, I registered for my first 5K! It's on 9/27.
