Hey you!
i m on the same journey: 100 lbs...

i used to be 275
i think i probably b happy at 185...i shall see.

Good luck!!!
:grouphug: hugs

how did it go? and did you burn the 600 on the tredmill? Good job GG!

Thanks!! It actually wasn't that bad for the first day back :) I burned the first 350 on the elliptical (on level 8) and then the last 250 on the treadmill (3.3 speed and 10 incline). It took me about 35 mins to get it done. I plan on going back tonight; I think that 600 cals when at the gym will be my goal. I may up it as i go along and add weights :) It reflected on the scale this morning! I am down .8 lbs :D

Day 2

Ok so it's day two!! Only got in 400 cals at the gym tonight but that's because we went to my BF's parents for dinner and they made PASTA!!! I was like o nooooooooooooooo, soooo hopefully tomorrows weight wont be that bad but I couldn't really weigh my dinner out there so we'll see!

Bfast:
Yogurt
banana

Lunch:
Salad

3pm snack:
egg

Dinner:
Pasta
veggies

I have no idea where my calories are at for today but I tried my best to portion my pasta.

Yep pasta can kill a diet easy (trust me I know lol :I). Being so close to burning 600, you can definitely push through if you were already at 400! But don't stress too too much, it's important to know that this is a journey and even if the scale doesn't always move or you don't always meet your goal, staying positive will keep you consistent! Either way good job, I salute you :patriot:!

Thanks! Yea it was pretty rough at dinner because I am a pasta lover lol. But this morning I maintained at 246.6 so I’m still good! I'll be going to the gym tonight to do my 600 cals and I think that we are making healthy pizza tonight!! We use these 90 calorie long rolls that a bakery produces by our house, cut them in half use light pasta sauce and part skim shredded mozz and top with veggies. They turn out like little french bread pizzas and are only about 120-150 calories each :)

sounds like you're doing well! I love pasta too so I am trying to avoid it like the plague until I get a better grip on my willpower. As long as you controlled your portion size, I'm sure you'll be fine - and congrats on maintaining! Also, having a planned 'cheat' meal or refeed can actually be good for your diet! My wife and I plan to have one refeed every week and it's wonderful because we know mentally that we only have to wait 7ish days to satisfy that pesky craving, weather it's pizza, or mexican, or pasta. It helps get us through the lower calorie days.

I finally saw my first downward jump on the scale and it was so exciting! I can't wait to be out of the 240's!!!

hey you!
Yes i m keepin a diary too - Justinas February Diary - hahah i was silly to choose the title - now its march and i cant change it.
your healthy pizza sounds delish...Love a pizza!!!
(Actually pizza is kind healthy - when i was in Italy for 2 monhs - i lost 9 lbs without trying - i DID walk a lot - but i defo wasnt on a diet!)
Keep up the good job girl!

Hey GG - Yeah for getting on the right track. I like how you put your before shot in your profile - didn't even realize you could do that.

I'm a sucker for pizza - but it has to be good - I might try your recipe for those times when I am craving it. Luckily, I can take or leave pasta - but I love rice (not brown rice!).

I'll enjoy following your competition dwwise83. Good luck to you both.

Weekend

O man ok...well like I said before the weekends have always been the hardest for me to stay on track and this one was def no different lol. Dinner on friday wasn't bad, I made those little french bread pizzas and they were good but then it went down hill. I did go on a hike on Saturday which seriously killed my legs but it was a lot of fun and great exercise. I forgot to weigh myself this morning...which is probrably a good thing since I def don't think I lost and probrably gained. So we will see how tomorrow morning goes after the gym tonight.

Congrats! It is so exciting and rewarding when you actually see the numbers changing, for whatever reason I remember when I was at 231 or 221 or 211 it always seemed to take forever to get into the the next lower 10's lol. I'm sure it was mostly mental because I wanted it so bad. What did you have for your refeed??

Thanks! We can really eat anything that we want as long as the calories are under what you use in a day, this is strictly for weight loss of course. Great job with your 65 lb weight loss!!!

Yea, I figured it would help to keep me motivated so I could add progress pictures :)

That stinks, weekends are usually hard for people because after the work week you just want to let loose! But that should get easier with time, if at all possible you should limit indulging yourself to one day vs. the weekend. Just get back on that horse GG and good job on working out on a Saturday! I wouldn't be able to bring myself to move like that on a weekend lol

Hey gymgirl,

Those weekends can be rough! So many temptations and usually we are out of our normal workday routine, so often people end up eating more meals away from home. Don't be too hard on yourself, just start with small changed on the weekends and go from there. Also, don't expect yourself to be perfect 100% of the time... it's way to stressful, not to mention nearly impossible :)

Thanks! I had some grilled chicken tacos which were pretty good. I took it easy on the chips and salsa - which was very hard to do. This week however, we are going to our FAVORITE restaurant and we are going to have a true 'cheat meal' / 'refeed'.

How is the weight-loss going?
