Yes, how are you doing this? I do 3x3 with my powercleans and I substitute them for my rows.

I'm starting to progress on the powerclean. Last week I couldn't get 120 to my shoulders and 2 days ago I did 3x3 with 120.

Good job by the way...Do you clean more then you bench?

Karks...I predict you'll be outcleaning me easily within 6 months. That being said, I'd like to see you set up a training journal...I'd like to see where you're training has gone since when you first got on this site.

Wanna race to 250?

p.s. What's your PS number look like?

typo in the title, its 220 not 229. Latley ive been doing 2x3 then 1x2 then 1x1 then 1x2 then 1x3 again. With about 85% 90% 95-100% 90% 85% for the sets respecticly.

My bench is at about 90kg too now, i think ill outclean my bench in no time, because bench has always been the lift that progress slow for me.

Evo, i havent power snatched in a while, im doing snatch grip high pulls. The PS is way harder for me to progress on than the PC for some reason

training journal.. hmm.. isent that alot of work? :p maybe, ill think about it.

I wish my PC was higher than my bench...I'd be cleaning in the 300s.
Do you have access to a coach? It could be that your bar speed is slowing down on the PS and you're not realizing it.

Nah, training journals aren't that much work. Just remember what you did in the workout and type it down. Some of us are lazier than others at times and might neglect to log a workout or 10. :)

i might have acces to a coach once i move to a bigger city in about april. (ill probobly move, not 100% decided yet though) thing is, olympic lifting is not big in Norway, in my town, no one does it. Trondheim (the city ill probobly be moving to) is the closest where they have any sort of organized OL lifting and there are coaches. The trainers at my gym hardly know how to do a biceps curl.. sadly.

I noticed when it got heavy today, my techniqe changed a bit. Dont know if its good or bad, but i could get up more weight with it. It seems like i was focusing more upward and that before ive been going more backward on the explosive pull in the past.

Evo what's your bench?

Karky, where I live in UK nobody does it. It's actually a joke. I asked around my gym, and the instructors knew what they were, but said they didn't have much idea about them at all.

lol, around here most people dont even know what it is. People look at me when i do power cleans and their like "whats that?, what muscle does that work?" and this one girl "Arent you afraid of destroying your body with that.. weight jumping thing?" (yes she used the word "destroying" well.. the Norwegian word for it :p)

Karky, the key question is... was she hot?

no shes annoying, always asks questiones, and talks about her routine and diet followed by "because thats the best way to do it, because blablablablabla. right?" and im like "yeah" then i think "ill go do the oposite" :p

I need to get my powerclean up. I usually do 3x3. What % would you use for that? I usually just do the heaviest weight I can.

heaviest weight you can is what you usually use for everything isent it? You could probobly benifit from doing some tripples doubbles or singles at a not so heavy weight, focus on form and speed, i know it sounds boring, but its needed! Power cleans are not just just brute strenght, you need a good flow, a groove.

I second the Karky training log. It is a good idea. I think it is fun anyway.

Even here in the states Olympic Lifting is kind of the red headed stepchild of the strength sports.

ahh, so she talks to you every time?

I wish I could od power cleans, it always flares up my tendonitis again if I do though. They're really fun.

wheres the tendonitis?

and yeah, she talks every time. One day, never seen her before, just started talking.. its a nightmare, i just ignore it half of the time, when im in the gym, i focus on the lifting.

I got tendonitis in the wrists. Both of them. Or I had it anyway, they actually feel fine now and I don't want them to flare up again, but I seriously loved doing cleans before.

Too bad she isn't hot. I wouldnt' mind a really hot girl talking to me all the time I lifted.

the tendonities comes from the catch phase i assume? it requieres a bit of wrist flexibility.. you could just do clean high pulls? its like a clean but you dont catch..
