EXERCISE DIARY

Let's say the week did not start in the best way. Honestly I have not being motivated at work and neither to work for school. I guess it's the weather that makes me feel this way. Losing weight is the one thing that is making me feel good so far. I feel I can control it. I am trying to learn from "the fitness world" and apply what that motivation to other fields as well, if it makes any sense. I feel better when I work out, go out for a walk and so on. I want to dedicate good amount of time to other things as well. Sometimes I just don't know how to shut the computer down and say "that's enough for today". I continue working/studying no stop. Yeah, exactly the opposite than with exercises. Probably because I have very high expectations for my career and never felt the same way about my body. I never was proud of my body, never worked so I could be proud of it. I was what you could call book worm. But I am changing it. I am exercising every week at some level at least and I am considering of starting boxing classes. I realised exercising keeps my mind away, makes me feel better and release the stress from the work.
For some reasons I feel it is easier than other things. If you stick with the plan you succeed. The only role is to stick to the plan. And also the plan is easy: eat healthy, do exercise and drink a lot of water. Simple as that. I am doing nothing else and in 2 mounths I have lost 6 kilos. It may not sound very much, but it has been somehow stable weight-loss.
I can work on other things the same way. If i keep calm and focused and dedicate to my work the needed amount of time and energy I will succeed.

Anyway, about my weight loss. I watched a picture of me taken on the end of july. I don't know what was my weight that exact day, but I can tell that the change in 2 months it is really visible. my belly shape is dfferent. It is much smaller now, you can tell. Maybe this StarCloud challenge has helped :) I am very satisfied!

Oh, and my goal for the end of the month is to break the 58 barrier. I know I can do it!! :)

Halfway mark! Great job!!!

I haven't had that experience yet but I'm sure seeing old pictures compared to new ones and seeing the difference is a great motivation to keep going knowing what you have been doing has been working.

You can make it to 58 before the end of the month :) You seem to still have good motivation and know what you need to do.

I still haven't tried that challenge you are doing but I really should...frankly I need to try SOMETHING whether that or one of the various DVDs or games I have.

Keep it up! You are doing awesome!

Thank you for the amazing post!
I try to stay motivated and the comments to my diary help A LOT. I know that I don't comment around very much, but I really appreciate support!! :)

It's funny, I gave a quick look at your diary, your weight is basically where I was 2 months ago and our goal is very close! We could make some "plan" together if you want. Maybe we can organize a new challenge, since this week I am done with the StarCloud challenge. What do you think?

Anyway the StarCloud challenge for the belly fat is kinda showing some results. I have just checked one "before" picture... that is actually a "progress" picture since it was taken at the end of July. I weighted 65 then... Gosh, I would show it with a current picture, but i am too embarassed!! I get mad watching at it, how could I let myself go like that?? Arghh! But I am on my way to be fitter, so it is ok. I had to start from somewhere! :)

A plan together could be good. Might be that push I need to actually do something if I have someone else counting on me like that. Sad as it is since my own well being should be all I need to get up and go :(

But yes, let's do a plan for when your StarCloud challenge is done. As long as I don't need equipment...I have a stability ball and a couple small weights but that's about it. And since I have been so crappy at working out since I started this whole process let me know if you have any suggestions or workouts you have been wanting to do and we can go from there :)

It sounds great!! It will help me be motivated as well, since I am a very competitive person... :p I know, I am bad!!

I will actually end the StarCloud challange on Friday, when I planned to have the last workout.
What kind of plan you would like to do?
Do you want to do a work out challenge like the StarCloud one? I was thinking to increase to 3 workouts per week. Maybe 2 belly-workout and 1 cardio or arms. Would be too much for you? Tomorrow I can browse some video, but I should have an idea of what you would like to do.
Dont worry about the equipment, I actually bought my Yoga mat last month :p I am totally a newbie in the fitness word and don't even have decent exercise pants. Whatever we decide will be be without equipment. I am too broken to buy anything this month! :)

Won't know if it's too much until I try, right? So let's do it :) 3 times a week seems reasonable enough I think. I think I will try getting a yoga mat before the end of the weekend. Don't really need it at home, but then again there is a lot of dog hair cuz of the dog shedding lots so may not be a bad idea even on the carpet. And if nothing else I will bring it to work with me so that I can start doing what I said I would and do some workouts at work if I don't get a chance to elsewhere. I don't see the company hiring anyone anytime soon so might as well take advantage of being alone while I can.

I totally get being broke...And frankly you can do lots without equipment, the mat is probably the most important thing so that you can do it anywhere. Random research got me to . But I think much too ambitious for me right now.

What if we woul try some 1 hour cardio training once a week and belly fat workout twice a week?
If you feel 3 workouts in a week is too demanding you can have either one (or cardio or belly far workout). I feel I can increase as I have been exercising regularly for the past 2 months, but I unerstand if it is intimidating for you as you are just starting. I suggest to keep realistic with what you can actually do because if you once you feel too tired and skip, you will feel demotivated and quit.
I talk for experience.

Sounds good. And I don't think 3 days a week is to much. Wrist case is I will just have a few more rests but I will still do it.

Maybe another goal of mine will be to do that 86min 1000 cal workout by the end of the year.

At the last minute my husband wanted to go to the movies yesterday. I was not very much in the mood, had a lot to do for work and really wanted to get things done. My husband tried to convince me an he offered pop-corn if I joined. You should know he never "allows" me pop-corn. I asked some time ago to "check" what I eat when I am out, in case I am not able to regulate myself :p So, we had a 0.5 liter of pop-corn in two. I was so afraid of weighting myself in the morning, but I am 59.2. Yes! My month goal is becoming closer and closer.

Yay! you are doing great! If I was tempted with popcorn I'd probably go too...especially because my fiance hates the smell of it so him allowing me to is huge. then again I find movie theater popcorn isn't as good as it used to be and I've gotten used to my plain air popped stuff again.

Hi little_star! You have a new friend I see .. I'm obviously not jealous xD
Could I join you and icychichs challenge ? More the merrier right? :)

Of course CLOUDMUFFIN!
What about the StarCloud challange? I think I will go to check your diary after I post this.

Well, not good news from here. I had a crazy weekend and I ended up binging (we were invited at a friend's house for dinner... and there everything started :( ) I felt bad this is why I did not enter the forum earlier. But I am trying to work my way down to 59.2 again, before the end of the month. I have the fridge stuffed with veggies and my plan is to finish eating all of them before heading to the store. Lately I am craving sweets like crazy (it happens everytime I binge) and this will prevent me to be tempted. I skipped my regular amount of water the last couple of days as well (that's 3 liters). Bad bad girl.

I am motivated to see that damn 8 soon!! I cannot believe it was so "easy" to lose those 5 kilos from July and now I am kinda stuck. Maybe because I haven't been this low weight for ages. But I want to take care of myself and I will! :) I will complete this project!! But now to business that I am crazy busy lately.

Girls, what do you think of this video for the cardio:
And for the abs workout? Do you want to continue the one we had for StarCloud challenge or we change it?

Wow, you are half way to your goal going of your ticker, awesome :)
A little stuck sometimes is normal but it will come down again. You see. Focused

I think that workout would do well for the cardio. I think I'm going to die but I will try. Watching the workout and I'm getting tired just watching it! Even she is getting tired and it's not even at the 15 min mark. :ack2:

I tried looking, but could you repost the link for the abs you had for the StarCloud challenge?

And then we need a name for the challenge and to post it in the Club Challenges. And we said 2 abs/wk and 1 cardio/wk right? Or does anyone want to change that at all? And also, what will be the start/end dates? Perhaps all of October? Or did you want to start it this week?

I'm kind of excited to start this!

Hello! :) Yes, it will be challenging... but this is what challenges are for.

Comments on the worouts:
1. Not very much to comment. It has been easier than the beginning, but I could feel all the 1 week pause I had between the challenges. I don't complain anyway! :)
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7. I did the belly fat loss exercise. I could feel all my body not being used to exercise as before. But now I am back :) Be ready to see more goals reached :)
8.Done! It was nice to do something different for a change. The hardest part were the pushups. I think i never worked out my arms and this is going to change! It feels nice to be on track again!
9. I think yesterday I got a minor cramp because when I was doing some of the exercises (ex. the power jumps) my arm it started to hurt. If I don't do specific movements anyway I don't feel any pain, so I don't know.
