1/3rd way to goal (underwear pics, beware)

I love reading these forums, so it's time to post. I've lost 15 lbs so far, maybe 17? Not sure, I don't have a scale, usually weigh myself somewhere else each time, so it's not accurate.

I'm 5'7, I started at about 180, and now weight 165.
My goal is 135 or so.

I'm going on a cruise in a month and a half, i'd love to lose another 10 lbs before then, but I've been so sick for the past month, and largely sedentary so it looks difficult at this point.
I've had one health problem after another since I've started, I look forward to being well & being able to get some exercise in.

I edited the thong into the more appropriate granny panty so it looks weird.
The pics were taken in different places too and the angles are a big off but i think you can still see the difference. I tried to resize them to approximately the same size. And no, i'm not sticking out my gut, my stomach always portrudes. blah.

Comments appreciated!

Huge difference. Great work and keep it up. 135 at 5"7 will make you very lean and trim. You must be excited.

Yeah, but i wonder if I will be left with flabby/loose skin if I do lose near 50 pounds. It seems like there's no clear consensus on whether weight loss dooms one to flaps of skin everywhere, I've been trying to lose weight slowly to try to avoid it.

Wow! I can tell a big difference - your tummy is for sure sinking and your back is looking good too! Keep up the good work :)

Congratulations on your loss so far! You look fabulous and I can see a huge difference: your thighs and abdomen look a lot smaller and your collarbones are more defined. And if you're calling your little stomach a "gut," you need to take a look at what I'm packing because I always look like I'm 3 months pregnant, and that's when I'm sucking in! :)

I'm no expert, but from what I've read it seems that it's mostly those who lose a huge amount of weight, i.e. 100+ pounds, and/or lose a lot of weight too quickly that may have loose skin issues to contend with. A gradual 45-pound loss shouldn't leave you with a lot of loose skin. That said, if you're not weight training I suggest you start now as building muscle will help keep you from looking flabby when you hit your goal.
