Don't try this at home

Deadlift is alternate grip, right hand over left under, controlled pull with hips driving forward and back pulling hard.
High pulls starts with overhand grip and the body is going forward that bit more ready to cover the balance when coming onto toes. There are many who do them as deadlift with upright row to follow, I work to make it one movement where everthing works together.

I used to deadlift with both hands over, and once I switched to an alternate grip, the gains I made were insane. My grip suffered a bit, though, but there's stuff to fix that.

Less said the better on occasion.

I might be getting a set of fat grips and a differnet version, who's name I have fogotten for my birthday which will be nice. Because lifting the bar as it is just too dawmed easy.

The most infuriating thing I have ever seen, which would bug you even more. I was at a power-lifting comp years ago and there was a guy there deadlifting without having to bend his knees to right angles, suffice to say this was also the winner. Distance of travel is abig deal in lifts, long levered guys like me look at the broader shorter guys thinking Git! It is also why women tend to do comparitively better on bench.

Anyone else and I'd say it's time to kick the governor in the butt because he is holding you back, but I'm fairly sure you push yourself about as hard as you can everytime you start a workout.

Air is very tight at this time of year and there are other lame excuses I could use. Truth is I am just annoyed that I don't seem to be getting the 8mph ridiculous target.
I know that carrying my wieght at that pace for that distance is good going. But if I was the sort of person to accept good going I wouldn't be getting that pace.
The kick in the butt is the intervals which are killing me, and I have some today. With me aching nicely from squats on Monday they are going to be fun. Cloud cover will make oxygen harder to come by so I may hear a few more target pace too low calls on the recoveries but I am detirmined to get 100% on target on fast as I did last week.

When unaccustomed to heat, 80 is nasty! I get a little wimpy in the 70's but I claim it's because it is hotter up here where the air is thinner... Good for you for trying, and really, that time was still very decent.

I found out that the temperature my phone displayed was inaccurate as well it was hotter by almost 5 degrees C.
I am a cold weather fan, weird at that may be.
Anyway same sort of day today, will try a lower pace to see if that make me able to finish. Not a fan of such things but needs must.

All you can do is take it as it comes... humidity is my new nemesis! When one is used to 15% and having all moisture sucked out of every breath, a quick jump to 50% or higher is just..... sweaty. Ugh!

Hate heat, hate humidity. Much as many love to laze at the beach in crazy heat, I am active so temperatures closer to freezing suit me better.

Overhead squats are one of the only lifts I haven't tried that I've wanted to, along with vertical push-ups. I would probably have to spend a day in the gym just working on form.

Vertical push ups are fine if against a wall etc. not tried freestanding, not keen on being upside down.
Overhead squats are incredible for building up core strength, nothing hits the areas you didn't know you had quite like them.

I need to try this just for the core work.
