Don't try this at home

As I was recently reading in Daniels' Running Formula, it's a good sign when the same workout starts to feel easier. You shouldn't always be trying to go faster, easier indicates important progress too.

Who would spout such rubbish that easier is progress? That sort of thing is what hypocrites like me say. Ironically I train to be able to do what others view impossible easily, but if my training feels easy I want to push more, that would be why I accept occasional injury as inevitable.
Health related fitness uses moderation and becomes easier, that bores the hell out of me so I will continue to be stupid and unsatisfied with myself regardless of how well I do.
Thanks for that.

Spot the deliberate mistake.

Yes the link is to squats from yesterday, post has the right date and link doesn't.

Sure fire sign of a good dealift session the day before.
Today I had the physically demanding job of carrying 8 whole pints of milk upstairs, no problem, then putting them down on the floor, ow!
If I assumed each carton to be 600 grams, 568 for the content the rest for the plastic, 8 of those is a whopping 4.8kg less than 11 pounds, and my back is aching to the point that the whole thing felt me putting that down, I like that 'cos I'm not all there.

And I have running at lunchtime, I am going to be so impressive I can just feel it.

That's a good deadlift session, indeed. 15 reps at 90kg...I'm not sure if you have more endurance than me or just fewer marbles.

I noticed that my lips tasted more of salt than last nights pork crackling. And that was the good stuff, you know with a whole weeks RDA of salt on each portion.

You really make me want to start running again. I used to pump out 5 miles a day before I really got into lifting, and it really did make me feel great. I need more cardio in my life.

Cardio? This is my self-defence training. An old boxing coach once told me the best way to avoid getting knocked out by a punch was not be where it was landing, I am taking that a step further.
Always loved running, no idea why, especially when literally running to a point an back again, just feels good.
I find the better aerobic fitness improves my lifting to a point. Recovery is my weakness and this helps a lot. I enjoy both extremes full on power or long drag stamina, which is why I need to pull in some local endurance work, which I am not great at.

I was very glad to find that I would still be able to run when changed jobs. Used to run and cycle for commute but that was inner city job so breathing in smog every breath, now it's more rural so get better quality air, and less people getting in my way. One that was quite funny, I got wolf whistled from a car behind me when running recently, then heard laughing and the passenger pointing out I was 'really old' to ridicule the driver who if they were like the passenger would have been early twenties.

I am sure there must be a way for you to run if you want too, even if it's with your family going on a bike ride.

Nice increase in speed!
