Defined Muscles

I am 17 years old and 180 pounds, about 5 foot 11. Since summber 09 i have been lifting to this day and I bench, do hammercurls, squats, tricep dips, shoulder shrugs etc. I have been trying to get big and it has been working, i went from 150 to 180 in about 5 months time. Now I have decided to turn my life in a different direction, I realized i would rather be defined and tone. What kind of workouts should i start doing to increase my endurance, burn remaining fat, and tone up.

All advice is helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to increase enduring, make your workouts higher reps and/or do longer (as opposed to high intensity, shorter bouts) steady state cardio. Fat loss will be VERY LARGELY determined by diet. What you do in the weight room doesn't play into it nearly as much as you would be inclined to think. What you in the kitchen, however, will determine how much fat you lose.

Yup. if you wanna look lean you need to get lean by watching what you eat, and lowering your calorie intake by roughly 10% of what it is now.

cardio will help too, but it won't make up for eating like crap.

Thank you both for your advice
Im going to watch what i eat for now on, and the more reps in workouts instead of putting more weight up seems legit.

Both helped, thanks for your time

It's worth remembering that there's no such thing as toning a muscle, 'toning', as some people refer to it when talking about muscle, is just a combination of muscle building and fat loss. Training with higher reps for endurance will not get you the cut look, that'll come from the fat you lose from the area surrounding the muscle.

If you are looking to increase lifting endurance though, then lifting in th ehigher rep ranges will assist with that :)
