OH press info pluss more (vids)

I agree with PB. GREAT information there. Very informational for people who just started lifting OR those lifting awhile to refresh the fundamentals. Thanks for the link & post.

Dude, your strenght #'s are getting up there man. Keep it up. The str. logbook calc DL is really nice. Loving this website man. I can dig it.

You are welcome! Glad I found the sight too.

Here is a pic at 286 and 280ish. Thought the contrast in the background might help. Any thoughts? I’m only lifting heavy 3 times a week 5x5, with 20 min tread after each workout. I thought about trying to walk/run but I’m pretty spent by the time I get to the cardio. The days off completely of are very welcome and I think needed badly at this point.

Here is the home gym I’m working on. Getting the bar racked after squats and benching needs to be done gently, no slamming it back in. It’s a start and now I have an extra option of working out at home.

I can also move this down to the basement this winter once the garage gets too cold. My brother in-law is getting me a real weight bench too

Are you still trying to lose weight? I think you look pretty good as it is right now. It depends on when your summer is I imagine, I lke to lose weight over the sumemr so I don't sweat as much

Thanks guys!

Yeah the rack can be turned to allow for benching. I should have made it so I wouldn’t have to turn it, could have just kept the 4x4s lined up. (the idea was stolen from the web)

Yes, I still want to lose weight. I have high blood pressure and the Doc wants me down in weight, and my wife. She is rather upset I’m lifting again, doesn’t want me bigger. I told her I’m just trying to put some strength back in and blast off some fat doing high intensity heavy weight.

I stopped lifting pretty much after the kids were born and have been struggling with body weight workout and running for years. I dropped to about 260 once but can’t keep up with the running at that weight, I just burn out and the BW stuff also becomes endless reps no matter what you change in the workout. 40 min or so of heavy lifting is fun!

Typhon, the devil duck IS you.

and my wife. She is rather upset I’m lifting again, doesn’t want me bigger.

I know that feeling, my wife didn't like it when I gained about 70lbs a few years back, I was a hell of a lot stronger but she said it was like sleeping with a different person.

She's got used to it now and has actually come to appreciate the feeling of being protected when out with me so I'm free to gain a little more again :)

Lookin' great Johnny!!! :action8:

Very cool you have built your own work out area! Just goes to show if there is a will there is a way!

Kudos!

Thank you NoLoveLost!
