What is your IDEAL body? Do you agree with this...

Hi- I'm a new member looking to lose some fat and tone up a bit.

I was wondering what everyone's IDEAL body would be- what exactly would this look like, or what terms would you use?

Being a male, I think Brad Pitt in Fight Club is pretty much ideal- lean, muscular, low body fat, athletic looking. Do you agree?

What about females? What qualities do you look for in the ideal male body...or even in the female body?

Just curious to see if I'm going for the right thing or not :)

Can I get this body working out at home? Sometimes don't have a lot of time to get to the gym!

My biggest obstacles are diet and lack of intensity during workouts. Do ya'll have the same problems...or what do you think prevents us from getting great results?

Just feel like I'm stuck at a plateau!

Thanks everyone :)

You asked for my oppinion, so here it is :p

I play soccer so I need to be athletic and really fit, but I need the upper body strength to hold off the opposition.. lets face it, a strong core and upper body looks great down at the beach too.

I like brad pitt in Fight Club but I tend to want to add a bit more buff look.

Oh dear god no

There are bigger guys than Arnie around these days but if I could choose a body to have it would probably be his

I personally would like to have the body of the actor who plays Jason Stackhouse from Trueblood, unfortunately I am built more like Shrek...LOL

Then I suggest you run....Forrest, run! lol :D That is what he does, he's a runner and he has a runners body......

Personally I've always liked big guys. If a guy is bigger you appear smaller. My sister was with a skinny guy and she practically starved herself. Lately she's been hanging out with a LB from a D-1 school and has put on a little weight (good weight they've been working out together) The ex came back to see her and she was like "Damn he's little" It's all about relativity. Her body perception is much healthier.

My husband was an Offensive lineman in college. There's no way I would have ever dated a guy that wasnt at least 50lbs heavier than me. Typically it was always 70+ and they were all pretty solid. They were all also over 6ft though.

It may sound a little neanderthal but a woman feels safe with bigger guys. What can I say you cant erase thousands of years of instinct.

Well I don't know about all that, I don't base my size on anybody else's size. It's all dependent on how big (or small) I prefer to be in relation to my own health, which, has basically remained the same most of my life. The only exception being when I was pregnant :D. And as for safety...well, that's why I carry a 9mm.....LOL!

My size has *never* changed because of the size of the guy I was with....That just gives others *way* to much influence over you. Ain't gonna happen....lol

My husband is not all that big. He's 5'9" and around 160lbs. I didn't marry him because of his *size* ....LOL (I can see the remarks already......) I married him because we are prefect for each other....... :action8:
