Just binged! :|

I am trying to lose weight (been hitting the gym alot)

BUT

last night i had pizza for dinner :S five pieces!

THEN

for lunch today there was still leftovers and i had 5 pieces for lunch!

:( I feel terrible!

Do you think I'd have undone all my gym sessions that I've done this week because of it?????

not if you go and hit the gym RIGHT now instead of posting this. Just run off those calories. How many calories are in a slice, 500? So there just burn off 2,500 calories which is EASILY done... wait it's easier to consume that then to burn it.

All kidding asided, take it as a MENTAL as well a physical break. Don't beat yourself over it but instead use it as motivation to stay on the cardio machine an extra 20-30 minutes every day for the next 2 weeks. That's what I used to do, for every beer I drank or planned to drink on the weekend, I did an extra hour of cardio!!!

You Ain't undone nothing...

Think of your body & metabolism as a camp fire. If you are exercising regularly and eating decently most of the time, your camp fire is lit and burning bright.

If you throw a big ass log on it, what happens? It slows down a bit, but gets back quickly to a bright giant campfire.

If you were a complete couch potato and didn't exercise or eat healthy your camp fire would be small. If you threw a big log or 2 on it, it would slow it down to smoldering.

The moral of the story as you know, is to constantly throw little logs on the fire to keep it burning full force....

In my humble opinion, a splurge like that is nothing significant. So long as you're following your diet for the vast majority of the time the occasional blip has very little effect. It's how you eat on a regular basis that matters most (although 10 Pizza slices in 2 days isn't the best way to get healthy)

I think the average takeout Pizza (deep pan) has about 350Kcals per slice, however, if you're American, they may well have 500Kcals a slice as Tic suggested as I imagine they do things like sugar glazed crusts and deli mayo topping over there.

But if it's 350 like I imagien then you consumed 3,500kcals of pizza, if you would usually have only eaten 500kcals per meal then you ate an extra 2,500 than you accounted for. Over a two week period that's only 178Kcals a day extra that you would need to burn off or cut from your diet

I don't know if this will help you at all or not, but since I started training and losing weight myself I allowed myself just one meal a week (within moderation of course) that wasn't so crash hot for the stomach. You said you ate pizza, I had pizza a week ago. I had a medium sized pizza and that was my treat for eating clean/healthy 23 out of the 24 meals I eat a week.

If anything it's probably better to give yourself that one meal break as you will find it becomes that motivator to get your bum down to the track/gym or where ever you do your cardio.

Head up mate! :)

What you might want to consider is why you felt the need to binge? are you withholding certain foods from your diet?

No food is bad, it's just making sure you aren't over eating, or not consuming beyond your caloric needs.

Watching how much you are eating is a good thing, but don't limit what you eat. Granted I'm not suggesting you go and buy a 5 pound bag of gummy bears, but eating pizza in your diet isn't the end of the world......

If you are working out, and eating within your means, you'll be just fine :)

Ha, I did the same thing last night!

But honestly, if you are like me, you have to do this every once in a while or else you'll go insane!

Like everyone else says, as long as its not everyday and your exercise routine is up to par, then you are fine!
