How do I make my butt smaller?

Hi,

Let's get straight to the point...

I'm a 15 year old male who isn't exactly in the best shape, but I am on the borderline between Normal Weight and Overweight (About 24.9 BMI). The one thing that REALLY bothers me is that my but is bigger than the rest of my body and really is bothering me. I ride my bike daily for about an hour, but it does not seem to help.

Are there any exercises you guys can recommend that is not too hard but will make my but smaller? I read somewhere that if I bike using the heels of my feet, it might help.

*I also have one of those exercise balls, and a set of dumbbells, but I find the videos a bit too hard to follow, and most of the time I cannot even do it right.

Thanks for reading.

If it's fat, it can be fixed with diet and exercise - like NBS said...

If it's muscle, embrace it. I've got a "big butt" too, but I'd much rather spend a little longer looking for jeans that fit than having no ass to fill out the jeans... Plus, most girls like a guy with a butt bigger than theirs.

Finally, another thing to consider may be your posture. If you combine a muscular/fat butt with a pelvic tilt, you may stick your butt out a bit, giving the look of a bigger butt. Check your hip flexibility by doing bulgerians split squats, or overhead squats against a wall. If you find yourself leaning/falling forward - you may have some tight hips...

You've got a big butt too? :action6:

Thanks for the responses, however, it is not genetic, no one in my family has it...just me :(
And I am pretty sure it is not muscular lol.

106 here.
And I find that cycling tends to make my quads and glutes more robust, not less. If you can swim or run that might move the fat faster without building more muscle back there.

omg............

I am definitely NOT making fun of anyone on this thread but I feel like I have died and gone to heaven reading this.:newangel: Actually hearing boys/men complain about the size of thier butts and feeling empathetic. I feel your pain. If its the same as it is for women, then working on it (lunges, squats, etc..) will help (along with a proper diet of course). I know first hand that it may remain big, but at least it will take shape. I refuse to put my number down here just to make you all feel better (and don't think I didn't just do the metric conversion 'cause I did). We all have a weaker areas so to distract away from them, accentuate the good parts of your body.

I too have a big but! I still have quite a bit of weight to loose before I start worying about it being a problem or not.. but I just went infront of the mirror and tried the posture suggestion (stand up straight as if your body isnt compensating for belley fat) and it actually looked smaller. interesting stuff!

How are you all just measuring your butt?

measuring tape around the butt at the biggest point. I want mine to be 110cm.. or maybe even bigger.

I like big butts and I cannot lie
you other brothers can't deny
that when a girl walks inn with and ity-bity waist
and a round thing in your face you get sprung.

91.44 that just sucks

I'm estimating mine to be around 42-43 inches... 107-108 centimeters.

I'll get exact measurements next week, I'm sure the anticipation is killing EVERYONE!

deep squats and bulgarian squats with your front leg elevated on a box (to increase ROM) will take care of that in a hurry ;)

You mean back leg don't you? I can do those. Deep squats.. eh. My calves are still too tight to get all the way down. But I'll keep at it.

Calves?? are you staying back your heels, or letting the weight drive you over the top?
