Here is my dillemma... I have always grown up very active playing highly competitive sports. After college I got a desk job but was still determined to stay active. Obviously it was difficult to keep the same intensity of activity going and I have slacked a bit but not too bad. I have gone in about 3 years from a low weight of 185 to around 210 now and I am 6'. A few months ago I have been really determined to get my weight down. I run almost every other day at a high intensity. I havent been doing too much weight training yet as I am hoping that my cardio will lose some of this "surface fat" and then I can start building my muscles although I already have a naturally bigger build.
My issue is that I really havent lost anything. I also can fluctuate in weight of about 5 lbs from day to day (very weird). I feel like I have very good athetlic ability but my body refuses to shed pounds. People may say its the diet, but I dont eat poorly. No processed foods, usually whole grains, lean proteins, fruits and vegetables. I do not overeat as well. Any help would be awesome in building out a more effective plan. Maybe a more strict diet?
